It's not mean to the dog to give it a challenge in order to get a treat. Do you ever challenge your kids in order for them to get something, or do you just give them stuff? Think about it!
While I admittedly laughed at this, I do think it's a bad idea to teach your dog bad habits! He's learning that jumping up on a table will lead to a reward. At best, this will just annoy you at dinnertime.
