i was in that flood right there and before it got that far on may 1st and i saw a couple of trees floating in it and people canoeing and swimming in it and i helped clean up and at the park next to fieldstone farms it was over it by like 23 feet.
Yes, there was a house fire the first night and it burned the entire house down. Today has been busy with people cleaning up the mess and trying to make repairs.
I grew up in Cottonwood too. I had heard there was a house fire there during this flood. I feel so bad for the residents there. Especially the ones back by the clubhouse area!
