(CONTINUED): So the ref panicked a lil(cuz after all, he is human too) and lost his professionalism by picking up couture, but i think he was just trying to get him back to his corner as soon as possible instead letting him lay there which would make him, the ref look like and ass for not calling the fight. Tho at the same time, how out was this kid? Coutur did lose momentum as the lock stayed in longer but he never really stopped moving :l well that's my rant for the day

I would say that it was very close and that you would have to have been in the ring to really make an accurate judgement on whether or not he was out before the bell. That being said, I have a theory as to why the ref helped couture to his corner. He prolly had a hard time telling whether or not he shud call the fight and by the time the round was over he realized that he no longer had that option and could see that things were getting out of his control(with bollinger hoppin up like he won).

!- The triangle choke out. Any other amateur fight would have been stopped, even if the fighter was saved by the bell.

2- The ref helped Ryan up and to his corner. If Ryan couldn't find his way on his own the fight should have been stopped.

3- Punches to the back of the head are illegal. Why didn't the ref call Couture on this in the 3rd?

4- Why was Couture given an extra 30 seconds to recover between rounds 2 and 3?

No disrespect to the fighters. Just bad officiating.

Everyone needs to stop and read the rules.. tuff n uff is a "amature" fight venue... therefor, if a fighter is knocked out or put to sleep, it ends the fight... pro rules say otherwise

very controversial, ryan was definetly out during the interim between rounds. however, his striking and wrestling was beautiful. my hat comes off to both fighters, i would love to see a rematch.

to say Bollinger won at the end of round 2 is like saying "ohh, Hendo beat jake shields cause pussyface was out on his feet in rnd 1". He got saved by the bell. if Ryan would have remained out it would have been over, but he popped right back up and went to his corner.... that being said...... this should start a good feud,..... they're both pretty fun to watch,.... and the real score was 29-28 Couture.

@backfromhell999 your retarded. the ref grabs coutures arm to see if he is awake. his lifts his arm then lets go. Coutures arm falls right to the mat completely limp. He is 100% out. that is fight over. You don't get a chance to "pop back up" or in actually get helped up by a ref and walked to your corner between rounds after getting choked out.

btw couture declined a rematch. He decided to turn pro instead of fighting Bollinger again in Tuffnuff. rematch when Bollinger goes pro?

Couture's arm went limp right at the bell. Bollinger wins it there. Unfortunately the ref is an idiot and let it continue. Given the mistake of letting it continue (Godaweful) it shouldn't have been a draw couture won the first and third rounds for sure, and the second round def was not a 10 8 round. Shinanigans

@warchief138 it was one second after the round ended, the 10 second click was at 5:56 and ryan couture is moving and couture arm dont go limp until 6:07. so that means he passed out after the round was over and the rules are if he can continue he still fights. they followed the rules. Besides that triangle choke couture dominated the fight and he should of won and not be adraw

@teboaf1 the rule is if your out after the bell, you can continue if your able. if ryan couture was unable to continue it would be a no contest or loss for other guy. thats the rule other wise every mma fight would hold there fighter in a choke hold pass the bell. the ref made the right call. Its called being saved by the bell.
