  • There is one thing about Mike that I always liked better than kobe, or any other great ball player after him, Mike wasn't selfish with the ball. He was the best team leader (and the greatest clutch player, gotta give him that) the nba has ever seen. I really hope I can see the sport filled with this much passion again =..(

  • Pippen has a grudge on Jordan! I think he was upset Michael got most of the attention!

  • Jordan and Scottie >> Kobe and Gasol thumbs up if you think so

  • @MongrelDawg98 well no shit, though shaq and kobe do make a legitimate argument

  • @ShietEverywhere

Shaq and Kobe were together for 8 years 3 titles

MJ and Pip were together for 9 full seasons 6 titles

its not close the only combo that you can make the argument is Magic and Kareem

  • @sopa71479 id agree with putting the tandem of magic and kareem right up there with pippen and jordan though i do think kobe and shaq are closer than youre giving them credit for

  • @ShietEverywhere Kobe and Shaq are more compatible than Magic and Kareem. Both Kareem and Magic were franchise players. When Kobe was playing with Shaq, he was not a franchise guy, not yet. He would become one during his career, but his role was clearly supportive. Same with Pippen. One can argue that Pippen was nowhere near being a franchise type player, which he proved in Houston, Portland, and during the second season after MJ had retired. Too immature by himself as a leader.

  • @ShietEverywhere yeah true but i meant current though

  • @MongrelDawg98 hmmm...fair enough, but even so id have to say durant and westbrook > kobe and gasol

  • @MongrelDawg98 FAIL

  • @sopa... lol. I am a heat fan as well. and MJ killed us. we had to celebrate somehow.

  • man this music sucks ass

  • the best history of the nba how to be the best player to lose all departing and remain the best player in the four corners maitraisant of the United States .. and won the supreme title ....

  • Tim Donaghy sighting at 3:39.

  • FUCK!!! My sister keeps talking to me while I am trying to watch this!!

  • i will take scottie pippen over lebron james anyday of the week

  • @haupe98 I second that. ANY DAY.

  • Yayyy, this shit made me so happy. My favorite team of all time. Gotta get Rodman in there too though!

  • Scottie Pippen started it off beautifully, when he said he couldnt win without Jordan, and Jordan didnt win until he got there, and until the right teammates were in place only then could they win a championship. Pure class, Jordan and Pippen have so much respect for each other and EARNED everything they won. NBA will never reach that standard again.

  • Bromance

  • alll I can say is WOW....

  • scotty pippen kinda looks like derrik rose...

  • @TheCrafterClan mmmmmm kinda not reallly

  • @TheCrafterClan i see it too

  • @TheCrafterClan He kinda sounds like Cleveland from Family Guy.

  • why was mj #45?

  • @dechokde1 When MJ retired in 93 his father was murdered that same summer he wanted to keep #23 retired because that was the last number his father saw him play in. in game 2 of the 95 ECSF he went back to 23...he got fined for he change

  • @dechokde1 his orginal number he wanted in high school was 45 it was his brothers number but he couldn't get it so he divided 45 in half and rounded it off and got 23... also when he wore #9 in the Olympics that was because of 4+5... only other number he ever wore to my recollection was 11 in one game it was a fans jersey cause someone stole his lol

  • @andrewbrown2135 it was #12 not 11

  • @dechokde1 Michael's number 23 was still retired upon his intial retirement from basketball.

  • @lurch2k4 MJ is the only player to have 2 teams retire his jersey

    Chicago and Miami

  • what did you record this with a toe nail?

  • @azure1997 if you can find an HQ version of this vid on youtube be my guest, and if you do please let me know

  • @azure1997 Do you expect a video from 1997 to be HD quality? Gtfo

  • I love MJ and SP...but this video is borderline sappy :(

  • @G61580 I dont own the vid i didnt make it

  • ........team basketball

  • It was about getting the job done. Greatest duo of all-time.

    You can't compare them.

Best defensive duo, fastest most athletic duo, scoring machines on fastbreaks and half-court sets, A+ floor IQ, dunking duo serving up the greatest facials of all-time, hybrid players gving opponents nightmare matchups but handling anybody they matched up against, completely different rosters in each trimester of rings, never showed signs of giving up, never intimidated yet always intimidating, need I say more?

  • I've never seen two generals on the same floor which commanded respect like these two. Both leading by example and vocally and still in sync not ruining the team chemistry. It would be cool to see Wade and James like this one day.

  • Did anyone else get sad while watching this? I miss the era of MJ & Pip...

  • just classy dudes. try to get born and wade talk this eloquently

  • Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen: one of the greatest duo to play the game!!! I wish I could have gotten the opportunity to meet them..

  • @106goldengirl i met pip once, Pip was actually my favorite player.....but MJ was much bettter

  • Scottie Pippen and Michael Jordan were, are and will be THE BEST ALL-AROUND BASKETBALL PLAYERS EVER to play this game we all love so much!

I LOVED, LOVE & WILL ALWAYS LOVE THIS GAME TILL DEATH DO US PART!

    Have a nice day!

  • Rapid FIRE Your have MJ and Scottie playing two on two against D Wade and Lebron who wins?

  • @payneicecold3000 MJ and Pip, both MJ and Pip are better defenders than Lebron and Wade

  • @sopa71479 Mj is best of those 4 in defending... but in my opioin Dwade and lebron are alil better the pippen... so thats 1,4 vs 2,3 .... everyone will have an opinion there.

  • @TheMoparDrvr MJ was already a killer before Pip came into the league

MJ made Pip not the other way around

  • @sopa71479 but not a winner

  • @TheMoparDrvr pippen wasnt a winner without a MJ as well, and in portland pip had a stacked talented team

  • @TheMoparDrvr Also remember these moments of pip w/o mj

1994 he refused to come onto the court of a playoff game because the play was designed to go to kukoc and not him

1995 pip blows ups and throws a chair in the middle of the court

1999 - he becomes the cancer of a team with hakeem and barkley on it

  • @sopa71479 Sopa MJ with all those accolades had never won a playoff series.Yes MJ help Pip ,and so did Pip in MJ no other layer could of match or man up to MJ enough than Pip did.Pip had DDDD factors Desire,Dedication,Determination and Drive to become an NBA player, plus top 5th pick.Pips story is an inspiring one,so it was not all MJ the man had talent and will to compete and be a winner. The man had only a handful of ill fortunes, what you mentions was all pistoff moments not quitting moments.

  • @Spidey7823 Pip refusing to come on the court in game 3 of the ECSF is not a quitting moment?

Pip not able to play a 4th qtr because he had a headacher (after shooting 1-10 in the game) is not a quitting moment?

  • @sopa71479 No its not,,,for one they won the game.A migraine headache,,,no human can concentrate having a headache at that magnitude not even superman.

  • @Trinimanfreddy actually they lost that game in the playoffs, it was game 7 vs detroit in 1990 and pipppen did not play the 4th qtr and the first 3 qtrs Rodman held him to 2 pts

  • @sopa71479 I was referring to the ECSF that they still won with him not entering,,,blessing in disguise...lol.Having a migraine headache one doesn't know their toe from their nose.Yes they loss so what...they came back better skilled, stronger and wiser.Failure is only a step closer to success which they ultimately achieved.I still say had Pip not gotten better no rings for Jordan, just my opinion with many others who also agree.

  • the GOAT!!!

  • My personal opinion - the NBA has never been the same since the disbanding of the Bulls in 1998. The league lost its magic when Krause drove out Jackson, Pippen and of course, MJ. There's not a team that's been around since that has captivated me like 90's Bulls did.

I seldom watch the NBA now. Unfortunately, nothing, in my eyes can ever replace those amazing years MJ and Pippen gave us.

  • @daveberg69 keep watching... Dwade/Lebron will mirror that soon... maybe not the accomplishments but def the excitement

  • Michael had Pippen for 6 rings and Kobe had.....Derek Fisher for 5 :D

  • @AXAGUS he had shaq for 3 dork

  • @mouloudo Some people can't read and see a joke but ok mr no sense of humor

  • the original Bromance.

  • I'm pretty sure a tear just came down my eye.

  • A VERY IMPORTANT FACT THERE WOULD HAVE NEVER BEEN A MICHAEL JORDAN WITHOUT SCOTTIE PIPPEN

  • @007M2 and vice versa even pip admits his career would not have been the player he was if it wasnt for MJ

  • @sopa71479 Dnt forget MJ wouldnt be the player he is with out pippen... it goes both ways... MJ for 7 years was ringless till he got pippen... and on Pip's rookie year he got his 1st ring, its no coincidence.

  • @TheMoparDrvr Pip's rookie year he got his first ring....

    you are badly badly misinformed

Pips rookie year =1988 he rode the bench

1988 MJ won his first MVP and DPOY and all star MVP

  • @007M2 Difference is is that Jordan was already a great player even before Scottie got there. If Pippen had played elsewhere we can't necessarily say the same for Pippen.

  • @UtubeHyperboleGuy i agree with you but there wasn't a championship before scottie and 72-10 season

  • @007M2 Bull crap! He was unstoppable before scouts even knew who Pippen was.

  • @007M2 the fact is....you watch jordan from the moment he entered the league he was the most sensational player in the game....amazing highlights...he was no doubt the top dog, pippen was all that was missing to win a championship.

what im saying is that michael jordan was the amazing michael jordan years before pip came to the team...thats a fact!

  • @007M2 A VERY IMPORTANT FACT THERE WOULD HAVE NEVER BEEN A MICHAEL JORDAN WITHOUT SCOTTIE PIPPEN"

are u serious dude? MJ has always been "the man" even before he entered the NBA. he was that good even during his college years so how can u even think about what u said much more claim it as facts? do u think that seattle would trade PIP for olden polynice of the bulls if he's that good? cmon now let's get real. MJ was the franchise player... PIP was the support. he became great due to MJ.

  • @007M2 Man I agree with you...had Pip not step his game up another level they would not have gotten past Detroit and maybe even NY those years after.Teams could no longer double and triple team MJ anymore like they did....MJ fans will not give Pip his due only because they envy Pip and also one cannot mention MJ and mention Pip and vice versa. They were simply the best duo to watch play basketball.Michael Jordan was a great player before Pippen but an even greater player with Scottie Pippen.

  • @Trinimanfreddy as brilliant as pippen was and as much as he and mj complimented each other, there are a few things that Pip did that, Im not going to say tainted (Although 1 of them nearly did)

    1. He sat out the 4th qtr of Game 7 vs the Pistons because he had a migraine. He was 1-10 shooting in that game

    2. Game 3 1994 playoffs without MJ, game was tied and Phil called for Toni to take the game winning shot and Pip refused to go on the court.

  • @sopa71479 previous comments I said he had shortcomings in his career, lets say for the two that you stated, are some of them I may agree because the man don't have many.

yes he sat out the 4th qtr. that may have been a coaches decision knowing he had a migraine and playing poorly, making bad decisions. And if MJ the great was so great he should not have needed Pip,so without Pip MJ could not have gotten the JOB done.Jordans greatness was because of Pip.

NY game was a blessing in disguise they won.

  • @007M2 100% right!!!!!!!!!!

  • Wow over 10k views, thank you everyone

  • 0:46 that pass was clean as hell

  • Chicago Bulls owner must have think it hard to continue keep paying out $70 million to 4 people, three players and a coach for at least two more years. It's been 13 years now and they haven't won anymore championships and must have paid out $1 billion in salaries for the past 13 years.I think the better investment would have been to pay the winning team back then to continue winning championships.Bulls could have traded for Hakeem Olajuwon and Reggie Miller to play with MJ, SP and DR .MURDER NBA

  • Bulls ownership was terrible for not keeping that Bulls team together after 98. They shoulda let them play as long as they wanted. No way either MJ or Pip shoulda ever played for any other team.

  • @Loudmouf84 This was hands down the worse manhandling of a dynasty

  • @sopa71479 I can't understand why they wouldn't keep it together. Who in their right mind would want to end this dynasty?!! How could you want to move on from Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen, Phil Jackson, & basketball at its best? It just doesn't make sense to me

  • @Loudmouf84 Jerry Krause ended it, he and phil were at daggers drawn for a while and of course MJ and Krause did not see eye to eye either. During the early part of the 98 season, ¨The Last Dance¨ in an interview after practice a reporter asked Phil if he would come back and he ¨wild horses couldn't bring me back¨

  • @sopa71479 Yea I always heard on tv how it was Jerry Krause's doing, but I have never known the details of why. Sucks. They coulda prolly won 3 or 4 more championships if they have stuck together.

  • @Loudmouf84 had MJ never retired in 93 the realistically could have won 8 in a row.

  • @sopa71479 yea they could have. They woulda played Houston twice in a row. Not sure they would have won both but they could have. That Rockets team was hella good and Hakeem was at his best. One thing the Bulls never faced in the Finals was a team with a dominant center, & Houston had the best, and they had a great squad around him, including Drexler the 2nd time. It would have been great to see that matchup. But you never know.

  • @sopa71479 could have? they most certainly would have won 8 in a row

  • i loved how the bulls were always passing the ball and were never ball hogs

  • @chocolatethunder6978 that was the key component in the triangle offense is get everyone on the floor involved

  • great vid thanks for uploading

  • @dandunk76 no problem thanks for watching

  • Ladies & Gentlemen, I think we have 1 of history's 1st bromance sightings.

  • Scottie should have at least two finals MVP...MJ should man up and give SP one or two MVP trophies, had it not been for Scottie becoming the next best player in the league their would not be any Jordan brand...Nike would still own him.Scottie Pippen in my opinion was never a sidekick to MJ.I do not know why MJ fans do not give him the respect he is deserving of,at least the NBA got it right in top 50 all time and the 1992 Olympics team greatest basketball team ever assemble and SP is on it.

  • @Trinimanfreddy Pip was my favorite on those Bulls teams, but MJ was just MJ. MJ told him in 97 'you're my mvp"and it true but a lot of time in the finals Pip struggled. 96 was for both players their worse finals appearance, 97 pip had a bad game 2, and game 5, 98 he oonly scored 10 points between game 5 and 6. I know in 98 pip hurt his back but that also took him out of mvp contenttion

  • @sopa71479: In 97 I also felt like SP was the MVP. When Scottie had game where he didn't score didn't necessarily mean that he had a bad game.

  • @Trinimanfreddy Pippen is one of the best of all time

i loved watching him when he came to Portland

and i beleive if MJ had not retired 3 times and played from 1984-2003

he would be the all time leading scorer

  • @Trinimanfreddy Scottie Pippen was great, but I don't think he ever outplayed MJ in the Finals. There was a season or two where I thought Scottie was as good as MJ, but he couldn't sustain it. Jordan was always the leader because of his strong personality and ruthlessness and his cold-blooded killer instinct.

  • @Trinimanfreddy Pippen is overrated and didnt do anything for the bulls, MJ had to do everything...6 finals mvp, GJ PIPPEN!

  • @aDezenT he was 94 mvp, led the bulls to 55 wins, and lost in the second round of the playoffs with a controversial ref call, all this when MJ was playing baseball, just shut up man

  • @aDezenT lol.Man you must have watch the Bulls only to see MJ and not see any other player on the team to notice that it's a team game.Yes Pip had shortcomings in the early years but once that was overcame they could not double and triple team MJ anymore because Pip would light them up too and cause havoc on the defense.A coach to get his players to fill specific roles 3mins or 15mins 2 shots or 6 shots no one gripe was all understanding. So if you only watched MJ you miss out alot of baskettball

  • @Trinimanfreddy No he shouldn't. Pippen don't have one finals where he outplayed MJ. Jordan is the strongest playoff performer in History. Pippen's numbers actually decline in the playoffs. Pippen just didn't compare to MJ in the Playoffs. AT ALL.

  • @Trinimanfreddy yes there would he got his shoe deal the year scottie pippen came in the league not after, and why should he give up something he earned, It's not like pippen would have won anything without micheal either

  • @Trinimanfreddy if not for scottie there would not be any jordan brand and nike would still own him? are'nt u a bit out of line there buddy? have'nt u thought that MJ made scottie and if not for him pip would have just been a good player? FYI MJ acknowledged PIP's contribution for their 5th ring when he received his FINALS MVP throphy and said he can take half of it.kudos, u were right to say that pip was never a robin... he was batman! ur damn right and MJ was superman.

  • @wornoutshoes11 I alwats thought MJ and Pip as Superman and Batman, not as Batman and Robin

  • @wornoutshoes11 Big ups for Phil Jackson for becoming the coach and giving Pip more playing time as Doug was not keen on giving Pip much or even put him in as a starter, that is what made difference. Before hand MJ would be triple and Quadruple teamed because the offence started and ended with MJ,until Phil put the ball in Pips hand to run the offence. At MJ HOF speech Scottie Pippen was the first name MJ mention,to me thats as great a kudos MJ ever did to acknowledge his superstar teammate.

  • @Trinimanfreddy

Jordan brough the best in scottie pippen, before jordan didnt like Pippen because he knew pippen was more capable and Jordan was the only one to see it so he push him to become better. Pippen got push by jordan to his highest potential. I met pippen before he is very rude and undicipline he feels he is better than most and I aint even lying he live in my area

  • @Trinimanfreddy All this would've held weight until we saw how AVERAGE a player Pippen was after 1998 when he was truly on his own. No Jordan, No PHIL...

  • @TheReason77 I would say he still held his weight else he probably would not have made HOF in first ballet.Pip still made the playoffs won series and reach the con. finals with Portland.Bad coaching at the end of that game seem like Pip was freeze out of that game, all shots went to Rasheed and he missed all. After 98 the guy had back(disc) surgery, was not explosive as he was like when he murdered the league in 94 & 95 and was robbed a season MVP.He ain't no MJ but really the man could play ball.

  • @Trinimanfreddy MJ fans give Pippen all the respect in the world but you're way off here. Jordan was building Nike well before Scottie got there and Scottie admits he became the player he did because of Michael. Exactly which 2 MVP's do you think he should have won? The only Finals MVP that Jordan shouldn't have won was against Seattle and that should have been Rodman's

  • Wow... Brings back a lot of memories.... Those were the good old times. Real good basketball... Hard defense, a lot of trash talk, no whining, no crying, and 2 of the most skilled player to ever play the game in the same team..... unfortunately no HD :(

Man i wish i was Marty McFly and i wish i knew Emmet Brown...

  • oh shit... this makes me wanna cry. i miss the days...
