  • bill nye the drummer guy?

  • Please tell me those are "Silver Fox" mallets.

  • That harness probly weighs more than the drums themselves..

  • there awful high anit they?

  • eww tenor sag

  • @Tommydrummer92 those arent tenors -_-

  • DAMN THESE LITTLE HANDS

  • RIMS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! good job though

  • I TOTALLY like how it's ok to ridicule a 15 yar old video using todays standards.

  • Well you can start by making your drums level........

  • Game has changed immensely just since '95.

  • it looks so uncomfortable and unatural

  • can someone get this guy a spock drum, I want to see more lol

  • @JessOnTheRun hmm, how about you sit this one out?

  • @JessOnTheRun AMEN how about you stand up and whoop bill nyes ass out of his harness!

  • @JessOnTheRun easy judgey mchudgerson, lets hear you play a quad solo

  • Yes, he was a nerd. We called him BIC like the friendly little guy on the ink pens? This was just icing on the cake for us that year. We had just won the whole BLUE (largest) class at KIDA Championships doing Gershwin's 'Rhapsody in Blue.' I played snare and he went on to great, great things in playing and teaching after that . He's also a Doctor now ...

  • this was a big deal for pennsylvannia in 95...

  • WOW THAT WAS BEFORE SPACKS!

  • and his name is handly

  • so this is quads...... so i just noticed why when thay ad the shot drum or drums do thay still call tham quads instead of quints or sextets?

  • @HostBeat > its nothing new numbnuts... spirit of atlanta in 1981 marched sevens... spok or "bongo" drums have been around forever... started in early 80's

  • Hey, his spock drum fell off!!! (JK) :D

  • This musician has class and at least some old school sensibility about him, unlike plenty of beltless drummers today who are commonly referred to as 'saps.'

  • this guys better then alot of you fuckers so why you talkin shit.

  • @tenorsguy: guy sucks... just a typical high school bando... not corps quality

  • Were supposed to play in the wrong zones back then?

  • he should play snare

  • He reminds me of dbrddr, haha

  • Nice drummingk, with the adams family in the middle, made me lol :}

  • 1:14 "That's right bitches, say my name."

  • @Sm0kaCola lmfao! i always knew he was doing that but i can imagine saying that.

  • he reminds me of peewee herman

  • i guess you gotta be a marchin drummer to like this because this bores the hell outta me

  • nerd playing drums dang

  • Is it just me or do his mallets look like 2 Bob Barker microphones? In that outfit he looks like he should be hosting a royal ball in 1837. And was that the Adam's Family theme on the rims!? Gay...

  • pause at 00:51

  • I get the feeling that I could do this. Moving along...

  • man, he hardly even played his spot

  • what is with his quads?? they are completely wrong

  • his quads are way too high!!

  • damn...this guy prolly gets alotta ladies

  • lol. Funny.

  • ROFL,

  • wow that nerd is really good

  • this nerd is great

  • This is BOSS!

  • Why doe she wear them so high up, and angled down?

  • does he*

  • dude this like look s like a sciencetest

  • after that I bet he went to the prom to play

  • good solo

haha might need a better harness though

  • sparks

  • Isnt that the guy from revenge of the nerds?

  • BEAST! haha the addams family part was funny

  • erkel can play drums?

  • ...Urkel is black.

  • no shit sherlock

  • And this person isn't. So you're dumb.

  • @bluebeard246 lol thats not erkel. its Steve Buscemi. the wierd guy off of armegedon

  • Why is that waiter wearing drums?

Oh, and table for two, please.

  • My friend has that set of quads (not the set in the video but one of the same model) and They do lean a little bit too far forward.

  • Gotta love that old school stuff.

It was a really good solo, though, rims n' all.

  • Rim fest.

Not sure if it was the carrier, or him, but those quads are leaning way to far forward. That is probably why he hit so many rims.

  • what is this? its absolutely ridiculous.

  • good solo you played your heart out for all the percussions out there good job and keep on rockin

  • dude whats up with the carrier

  • lol the guys in my high school tenor players marched with those quads w/ a added shot drum. damn talk about old drums..

  • wow... old school pearl quads...

  • but hes so cute and fuzzy. and well now it doesn't matter how he drums he a frickin doctor hes got money coming out the butt hole

  • eww

  • He isnt all that great I think. Yea he can do pretty awesome crossovers and stuff but he isnt hitting in the right part of the drum and it keeps clicking his sticks together and hitting and rims...

  • This is what you sound like:

Blee blah blah blee bloo bloo poopy poo poo caca.

  • Maybe you should shut up for once.

  • no you shut up

  • have you heard of a rim shot before

  • Yes, I have. I happen to be a drummer thank you and its my love. Piano and drums are what I like doing best. And I love doing rim shots on the marching snare drums. sounds awesome :D

  • thats awesome because i play drums and piano too :D

  • Comment removed

  • It's the Tux, everyone loves the Tux!

  • hes good but he was fuckin up at the beggining

  • Old school shiz right here. Not bad for '95. hope he learn to lower his damn drums.

  • umm yea decentdrummer911 when you do all that on the vid that you should post since its so easy to do then talk shit about it

  • YEAH !!!!

  • Um are the sticks supposed to hit against each other so many times? The clack is so easily hearable.

  • I think the clicks will be condoned since it is so good.

  • I think not.

  • Then you explain why he is the champion.

I take that back. I already know the answer I was not competing.

  • That response made no sense.

  • That was lame.

  • no you're lame

  • no all the clicks you hear are mistakes,if hes the champion it means everyone els fucked up more then him,

  • hey, you're playing the drums - lose the bow tie!!!

  • thats pretty good and im not disrespecting but i see alot better...

  • It'd be great if the drums could be a bit higher and tilted forwards a bit more.

  • hahaha

  • Hey man! That harness is as high as it can be and as downward as possible! Not everyone can afford top of the line carriers :(

  • holy shit

  • i would love to see what he can do with the new improved 2008 version toms they sound better

  • i love it

  • ollddd schooll

  • TRI-tom? hmm, what about QUADs? Looks nice but a lot of rim an stick clicks and not enough energy to get to the end?? Practise more on your skills than getting your hair straight.

  • they were quads lol quad means 4 and he played on a set of 4 drums. tritoms = 3 quadtoms = 4

  • oh. well thats fun.

  • I love the Tri-Toms. I can play it.

  • who said anything about tri-toms?

  • HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM Let's see... I DID!

  • lol did he incorperate the adams family song? Lol if he did haha i love it

  • dude shut your fucking mouth im just telling you what you sounded like SHIT!!!!!

  • well why dont you post a video of yourself playing better?

  • you were really really sloppy and your fat rolls aren't clean.

  • I thin kit would have been better if the quads were lower

  • it was 95.. lol.. old skool..

  • few stick clicks and rims in there but WHOA there was some absolutely AWESOME stuff in that. nice work man pratice makes perfect etc.

  • That was a pretty mediocre quad solo. Lots of rim. Lacking musicality.

  • you were a pretty mediocre quad solo. Lots of rim. Lacking musicality.

  • amazing stuff..but he fucked up the ending..but overall...hes just insane

  • couldnt have picked a cooler looking dude to become a champion

  • it's about playing ability not looks

  • AND we had just won the Blue Group Championship for the third year straight, in so doing, "retiring" that trophy. That poor trophy never had to make another trip back to a KIDA competition. It resides now and forever more in a case at Carlisle with thousands of others, including Brian's SOLO COMPETITION trophy from that same year. I should know, I was on the snare line. LONG LIVE CARLISLE DRUMLINE!

  • Yes, long live carlisle, though they are going through some very rough times now, unfortunately.

  • Ha! 1995 was a very strong year for CARLISLE DRUMLINE. And for all the critics, hating on this young man's awesome achievement, keep in mind that those weren't his tenors so they didn't fit well...

  • Hitting rim shots all over the place i hope he didn't min he's pretty average.

  • bite me

  • yeah, but it looks like you lower it, the hip plate goes with it, so i guess he'd rather play high than crush his peneer.

  • wow you seriously do not know what you are talking about.

  • no you seriously do not know what you are talking about.

  • That harness is just about as HIGH as it can go. If you look close you can see where the metal overlaps. That thing can be double in length. Marching drums have been around for a long time. Don't ya think they had that figured out by '95?

  • WTF LOLOLOL

  • yeah, i doesnt look like that harness could be lowered any more. Damn...thats pretty good for having the drums that awkwardly high lol

  • it was 11 years ago, they probably couldn't lower them any more.

  • actually, i play quads for my high school drumline and i have the same set that is in this video (our school is poor) and ours was purchased about 11-12 years ago, and they can get pretty low. though, finally i am getting a new set of tenor, actually sextets instead of quads.

  • damn. bwahaha adams family = x3

  • fast

  • Wow...that's really weird.
