  • Dwight coulda been a legend with his own voice. This is awesome.

  • This song could have been written word for word about Keith and Lorrie. Dwight sounds a lot like Conway.

  • when I was little, which would have been right around the time he died but i didn't know that then, i had the hugest little girl crush on keith whitley. i wanted to grow up and marry that voice! lol. music is a major influence in my life and the thing i turn to in times of joy and sadness. he and kt oslin are my first memories of music, probably bc they both have such beautiful and recognizable voices. but i'm proud to say that at 4 or 5 years old i had good taste in music! this made me cry

  • What a great tribute to you brother...Well done!! Love & Peace Whitley family.

  • really like this song and video could anyone let me know a date on this years memorial ride and locations thanks

  • This is true Country music and MEGA TALENT! I've commented before that Keith Whitley was and remains the greatest Country Artist of my generation and Country Music lovers are being treated here to another talented Whitley who puts many of today's country artist's to shame! Such a talented and country music family that comes along once in a lifetime! Thank you for this beautiful post!

My Hero's Keith, George strait, Mark Chesnutt Merle Haggard Hank Williams Just To Name A Few

  • The Whitley brothers, what truly talented men! This song is so beautiful. Keith was my first really big crush, I saw him in a show with Ricky Skaggs. Dwight's love for his family and the painful losses are there in his eyes for all the world to see. The love for Keith is there in his face. My heart is touched and I know that the legend won't fade for me. You've done a wonderful job on this video. Its really BEAUTIFUL! Dwight is a very talented singer in his own right.

  • That is so sweet of you. Thank you so much! I share the observations you've made of Dwight, and I wholeheartedly agree with you. Dwight's love for his family overrode his desire to chase fame & fortune, which could have come easily for him, as you & I know. But he decided to stay at home and give his 2 sons a life of stability and be home for them. They have their faults, just like any other family, but the love they have for one another is truly inspirational. Thanks for stopping by!

  • Sharon you did an excellent job with this video. Dwight's voice is so beautiful and the love for his little brother is so apparent. The entertainment business is brutal!! I don't blame him for bowing out but I do so love his music.

  • Thank you, Virginia! Have you heard Dwight's albums? I so miss hearing new material from him. He was so close to his brothers, and words can't express how much he misses Keith & Randy.

  • Okay Sharon...You got me with that one. I was just looking up some info on Dwight and I'm glad you posted this! He's a great singer and looks exactly like Keith(my opinion). It just looks like life has made him old beyond his years, you can see it in his eyes. I particularly like the picture at 1:25. The ride would be something to see or participate in to be sure. And the ending was so heartfelt and so sad. Once again, thank you.

  • That's right, Jim, ain't no denyin' a Whitley! (LOL) Seriously, tho, he's definitely all of 62. The man is so full of wisdom, & what a gift he has to spin a story! I pray I get the chance this Labor Day weekend to sit down with him just for a little while to listen to him tell some stories. I'm sad to know that it was Keith's wish to do a duet with Dwight, but Keith passed before he got the chance. Keith even arranged for Dwight to go out with him on tour just before he died--he needed him.

  • Have they ever sang the same song seperately. Maybe someone (Your the one who could and should do this) could mix one with the two together singing the same song. That way they could sing together at last! What a neat tribute this would be.

  • Are you kidding? Of course! Dwight's recorded a LOT of Keith's songs that he never released. It's very likely that each version is in a different key, but thanks so much for the idea! I might experiment and see what I come up with. It's also a great way of getting Dwight's music heard. Wow, seriously, I never thought of doing that! Thanks again, Jim! You always had more confidence in me than I have in myself.

  • Believe me sweetheart I've seen your work and I have mountains of faith in you to be able to accomplish something like this. Keep in touch, because now I'm interested!

  • Wow... (thinking outloud) What I could do with "Between An Old Memory and Me..." That settles it. I'm doing it.

  • Go Get'em girl! If you need any help (like i'd know anything) let me know. I'm her to support a potential "GREAT" project!
