Heyy, im about to get a Tc and wat should i do to it?? should i be worry about the engine warranty??? like i wanted to put header and stuff like that??? Does it effect the warranty???
warranties are tricky.. whatever they say at the dealership you will not loose the warranty on the car as long as the problem didnt caused be the aftermarket stuff what u have.
so if u get a header and the wheels fall off its under warranty! if u get cold air intake and u hydrolock the engine... then u have problem because it caused by the CAI... you can get header, s pipe, cat back exhaust, cold air intake.. the chance to loose the warranty because of the bolt ons are really small.
depends what do u want... auto tc is slow. manual is better, but its still not as fast as an Si ( well. its cheaper too so you could turbo it)
if you are not into speed that much, i would recommend trd springs, trs rear sway bar and trd front strut bar. it will make a HUGE different in the car's characteristic. you can get this from the dealer, they will install it and it will be warrantied.
if u get used car (60 - 80K miles), even with header, intake and exhaust you wont be faster than a new tc
btw the new release series tc is coming out this year.. i heard that its going to be flat black !!!!!!!
back to the power: supercharger is a waste of money.
it has shaft and bearings problems ( TRD didnt design this s/c) so u can go turbo. making 250-280 whp (6-8 psi) with stock internals!!! maybe clutch needs to be changed close to 300 whp)
but if you are a young guy, i just recommend some suspension mod. some lip kit, nice rims, intake and cat back exhaust ( header makes it sound raspy)
actually si maybe be faster but tc's have better low end torque and you wouldnt have to push it has hard as the si would cause they made for the high end torque

Hey CSOCSO, remember me you helped me pick out an exhaust. Well I got my agency power exhaust and my injen CAI! I also got agnecy power pulleys, lowering srpings, igniton kit, HID's and I'm getting built for a boostflow turbo kit. So I'm going to post a couple vids :)
its a cheap car... wont be that sporty as a celica gts or a civic si...
but if u like the tc very much, then go and get it.. then get lowering springs ( $300) plus get sway bars ( $150-300) and the cornering would be much better
for acceleration.. well... bolt ons or turbo... exhaust ( 300-700)
cold air intake (200)
header (2-300)
btw i really like the acceleration of my car.. its not super fast but its more than enough.

it drives real nice, ive had my 09 for about a month and its runnin nice.the acceleration is pretty good also.its better than my celica.
