You know, I've seen a lot of beautful transformations, with outfits prettier than of Hayate's, and I've never whatched Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha A's, nor Strikers, Not even just Magical Girl Nanoha, BUT this Three Anima's has the most amazing trensformations I've seen so far O: (yes, the music counts too)

Hayate really got shafted in StrikerS. Seems just about everyone got a transformation sequence besides her.

Not to mention, she seldom enters the battlefield unlike the Strikers. So not much scenes featuring her power, when she is actually stronger than Nanoha or Fate.

When is true that Hayate is in fact far more powerfull than Nanoha or Fate, is also truth that she is also much less practical or flexible in combat, her speciality is to charge and fire super long range, wide area, devastating spells ......from one standing position.

Well, her role is that of a Full Back, which is the "standard" mage in RPGs. Probably the reason why the Book of Darkness/Blessed Wind Reinforce comes with the Guardian Knights.

You got a point there. I'm a Ragnarok Online player(i don't have money for Warcraft xDU) and i'm always thinking of Hayate and the Wolkenritter as a party:

Signum(Knight)

Vita(Blacksmith)

Shamal(Priest)

Zafira(Monk)

Hayate(Wizard/Sage)

While each of them is very powerfull on their own, we only see their true potential when they fight as a team and totally owns the enemy, for that matter the Yagami Family are my favourite characters from Nanoha(specially Signum xD).

I played RO before as well.

Hayate is more Wizard than a Sage due to Wizard having stronger firepower and AoE. And Hayate certainly can't cast while moving, nor can she disrupt spellcastings.

Not too sure about Signum though... Knight focuses more on spears and lances while mounted on a PecoPeco, whereas Crusader focuses on swords and holy magic. Signum doesn't seem to match either well enoughm but I would go with Crusader for the sword flavour.

It's curious, the Crusader have more skills focused on spears than the Knight(Spear Quicken for example), so i think of her as a Knight because of Laevatein's Two-Handed Sword appearance, "Shiden Issen" attack looks much like a Bowling Bash to me xDDDD!!!

Except she doesn't need to be an expert per se. Remember; the knights are an extension of her. Each knight is extremely powerful on their own. Combined, they are a force to be reckoned with. So being an extension of Hayate, and so closely tied to her allows the knights to really just be part of her arsenal. When the knights are on the field; Hayate-chan is on the field.
