They won't add swimming because they're not planning to add any content where swimming could be nessesary in the next time.
Implementing swimming just for visually makeup without any real "use" of it is still useless in NCSofts opinion, so they're focusing on other things like pvp improvements or something.
Well, the "German Community Manager" is just one apple on the tree. He just said what he got from NcSoft.(everybody knows, very unreliable)
It was not my opinion so I don't care and I've dropped the game, so I don't care either.
But I've seen some swimming scenes in the new future trailer and... I'm quite impressed^^ They will add what should be there from the beginning. Soon they will have use for swimming, because there will be underwater areas, underwater towns ...
lol .. you cant fly for one min = =" .. but my wing can fly more then 2 mins and we have fly potion for recover flying time .. have you play aion ? or you just a low lv dude ..
i get about 2 minutes of flying time but i have a recovery potion

Here is some cool looking water graphics but you dont float or swim in it.
