I had seen that they were studying that flu but one of the result they discovered from it was that the Bird flu is not so scary as was hyped, that the mutation that needs to occur to become human to human actually lowers the fatal effects. Your finding the lab release of the flu though makes me think a bit, since as you said, that type of thing only happens on purpose & knowing they were studying basically why Avian flu gets less deadly when it becomes human to human, most likely through swine.

The 1918 "Spanish Flu" originated in soldiers in Kansas who then brought it over to Europe. It wasn't until the King Of Spain became unwell, that the wrongly titled "Spanish Flu" was so called.

First step is proper hygiene. Wearing a mask and avoiding crowded places. On first sign of a sore throat, take a clean washcloth and rise it with warm water. Wrap the cloth around two fingers and wash out the mucous layer in your throat. Wash the base of your tongue, over swollen glands, top of mouth. Rise out the cloth and repeat as necessary to get rid of a prickly feeling in your throat. Floss and brush your teeth.This is an ancient practice. Hard to do due to gagging, but can save you.

But just like the common cold can lead to infections, like pneumonia, which many die of, they're treated with antibiotics. That is my point. I had seen that they were studying that flu but one of the result they discovered from it was that the Bird flu is not so scary as was hyped, that the mutation that needs to occur to become human to human actually lowers the fatal effects. Your finding the lab release of the flu though makes me think a bit, since as you said, that type of thing only happens on purpose & knowing they were studying basically why Avian flu gets less deadly when it becomes human to human, most likely through swine.

I'm nervous because I have to go to a couple of medical places in the next two days. There have been no cases here though. I rerely get flu. I had one in 1978, and maybe once since. I worry for little kids in daycare, where it is most likely to spread. Some of the conspiracy ideas are spooky, but I really think it's from the pig farm.

First step is proper hygiene. Wearing a mask and avoiding crowded places. On first sign of a sore throat, take a clean washcloth and rise it with warm water. Wrap the cloth around two fingers and wash out the mucous layer in your throat. Wash the base of your tongue, over swollen glands, top of mouth. Buy store grade for disinfecting clothes and cleaning. My wacked out conspiracy theory:
Acricultural sabotage (forget the human pandemic element), by China/SCO as retaliation for the avian flu outbreak. There IS a trade war going on at the moment right?
I like how they tried flying the presidents plane in front of the Statue of Liberty, to try and bolster the flagging airlines, and created the exact opposite effect.

One can never say with absolute certainty that they know. I can however say that I have a good idea.
Our future depends on what we make of it, even now.
I have been getting a plethora of emails from many people I do not even know, about the swine flu. It does sound like it will get much bigger than people think.
But they powers that be have been hard at work to make us confused and fearful. I really don't know what to think. Except that they are manipulating us in one way or another.

colloidal silver has no proven positive effects for your body.
while it is true that some silver compounds kill bacteria and can be used to disinfect wounds or items, if you eat too much silver you will simply die. if you eat smaller quantities, the skin of your body can turn blue permanently because the silver gets deposited in your liver and skin tissues as metal particles.

The report on the Guardian yesterday points to the first case being in Mex in Feb. in a small town called La Gloria, where 60% of the population became infected.
The cause of so many dieing in 1918 was do to the lack of antibiotics, which we have today.

Amoxicllin and penicillin were over used and are still over used today to fight common infections. They no longer work for me, do to my being treated for TB as a child with them. So your right. But there are other levels of antibiotics I can use that work. It seems to me for someone who's headline is "don't panic" your attitude about surviving this flu lends no hope, when there is hope.

Boomer, you're talking as though you know what you're saying, but clearly you don't. Please stop recommending people take antibiotics for a viral infection. Antibiotics are bacteria killing medications which have no effect on viruses. You're spreading misinformation which makes you part of the problem. Stop now, and educate yourself please.

Drutter, don't be so assuming. I am very well educated, thank you. I know virus can't be treated with antibiotics, just like the common cold. But just like the common cold can lead to infections, like pneumonia, which many die of, they're treated with antibiotics. That is my point. In 1918 they didn't have antibiotics to combat the infections that weak systems couldn't handle. They didn't even have aspirin.

Boomer, you are right that viral infections can lead to secondary bacterial infections, but pneumonia comes in both forms too! Viral and bacterial! And antibiotics do not work on viruses.
There are many natural things that do work on viruses, such as apple cider vinegar, olive leaf extract and oil of oregano, etc. Would be a good time to get some! God Bless!

Thanks you fairflight1. I do and have used many of your suggested natural medications. Presently I'm using Colloidal Silver Spray for a sinus infection. I've used clove oil for a very painful tooth ache, and of course the best remedy for urinary problems, cranberry juice.

What seems suspicious is President Obama was in Mexico City just prior to the outbreak and Hillary was their a wk. before. How come they are not ill? Could it be they got the vaccination and were carriers? Read that vaccines can make the person a carrier for 3 weeks.

Uh huh, how many Americans can't go to a doc because they aren't in an HMO? How many people in NZ have overdone it with antibiotics, and they no longer work? Heard of 'flesh-eating disease'? How about MRSA? I'll have to say pass on any flu shots offered to me...
