I've never heard of the Vanilla Cap N Crunch. Maybe Cap N Crunch cereals like Christmas Crunch, Peanut Butter Crunch, Crunch Berries, Oops All Berries, and Deep Sea Crunch, but never any Vanilla Crunch. I like the original Cap N Crunch, too.
I've loved Alvin and the Chipmunks, since I was just a toddler, back in the 80s. I watched the 80s Alvin and the Chipmunks show on NBC back in the day, then later on I was introduced to this original Alvin and the Chipmunks when it aired on Nickelodeon.
@MelodyThePussycat indeed, it is(jeez, i remember seeing this episode back in the mid-60s)!!!.....but i'm thinking that this particular broadcast was shown probably back in the early 70s(Vanilly Crunch was introduced by Quaker back in 1971-1972, i believe).......i also recall that NBC reran The Alvin Show on Saturday mornings back in 1978-1979......which would have been very shortly before the Chipmunks were re-introduced to the public via the album "Chipmunk Punk"

This is an episode of the original 1960's "The Alvin Show"; "Alvin & the Chipmunks" is the name of a new version of this produced in the 1980's.

@citizenterryk The show was a mid-season replacement on NBC from March to September of '79 from what I've read someplace.
