@Floz000 finally a decent comment. this car flys and unless you saw it and understood what it took to get this puppy to were it is in terms of power and reliablity then i guess its hard to understand why it exists. but i for one would love to get behind the wheel and try to tame its all wheel power. it really dose hammer.
@xlr8ation1 Trust me, you need that wing. Shit i saw a Datsun with a stock Chevy block and that shit can't even keep traction in 2nd or 3rd lol. Wing is good for the downforce.
you can get that kind of power with a sr20det but a rb30 would be more reliable at that power level. also a v8 has instant response with no turbo lag and they are easy to rebuild compared with a rb or sr motor. the downside to a v8 is that is messes up the weight distribution.
could have gone with sr20det motors which is lighter and would have given just about the same horsepower if not more, putting a v8 in that car is useless unless that engine is sitting mid giving it a 50-50 ratio
@coldfuzionzxx putting a small block into a 280z only adds about 150lbs to the front and about 50 to the rear. with aluminium components you can nearly negate the difference. trust me, i used to have a 280z i was putting a v8 in.
All of you people saying this car sucks clearly haven't seen the records this car has broken, haven't heard the car, or haven't seen it in person.
It's a bit of an engineering feat, and would be great fun to drive. Aero is fairly well sorted too.
