do the gk-3+gr20 (or 33 etc) responds very well on glissando, pitch and polyphony with external hardware or virtual instruments? i'm planning to buy a gr20, but i'm in doubt about those things...
The GR-20 is also more forgiving if you do not have the note correctly fretted, whereas the GR-33 puts out that awful midi screech when not fretted properly.
is that piece of music serialistic by any chance? I've heard alot of computer generated serialism that uses volume to 'hide' the non ear pleasing tones a bit and allows specific chord changes to actually be analyzed while sticking to serialistic rules.
If I'm mistaken please ignore me, but if that was it's idea I would like a recommendation for other music of the sort. I think it's intriguing :D
do you have to connect these pickups to a computer or musical device other than a speaker? or can you just plug into a speaker and guitar with it? does it have sounds effects already programed into it?
Hi can u use this item instead of a midi keyboard?I mean can i just plug it into my pc midi interface and use use my own sounds from PC for sounds? Would i have to go through the process of mapping out ever note on guitar to play right sounds , like hooking up a roland td12 drum kit.I have to manually hit each drum pad for each sound i want to hear when i hit the pad.
No...with virtual instruments or other ex. hardwares..
no respons well
and the gr20 works fine w/gk2

what do you think is much better sound?
gr33 or gr20? pls help me,i will buy,and i will choose whats good between the two..tnx

Gr-20 better
but the Gr-33 have more options..
you can create your own sounds

It doesn't matter that much though since you've got a midi-out. You can just take control over a synth or a virtual instrument.
That's one of the biggest reasons I'm getting the GR-20 even though the sounds on it are nice too.

Yeah it's possible
go to Roland website and find
"GR-20" or "GI-20 GK-MIDI Interface"
for more information :)
