I come from a small conservative place in Finland. I knew I was Gay when I was 13 and came out then. My friends they just thought I did it to be different, because somewhere in their backheads they thought I wanted to be different in every way, but this wasnt the case. I was a lesbian and 13 years old, my parents hated me for that and they still do. Im a grown up woman now,been married to three women and VERY lesbian. But these gayicons as Melissa, K.D and Ellen they have helped me a lot.

One of the best,most deep songs i've ever heard. A friend put this on a cd for me when i was 17 and into the old gangsta rap and this song touched me like nothing else. I'm surprised that so many people feel the need to comment on her sexuality. Why is it so important? idk if Melissa Etheridge ever reads these, but if she does: You write some of the most moving music that I have ever heard. There are probably a lot of people who will take this song SOLELY as a love ballad from one woman to another, but as a song it stands on its own both in lyric content and musically.
