I wouldn't go as far as the guy that said fuck God, I just don't believe that he exists... And as far as the satanism that sometimes occurs in Metal, it's mostly for shock value and as for satanism in Norwegian Black Metal it's mostly because religion was shoved down their throats and some wanted to rebel and they used music as their way to express their hatred and ended up creating an entire culture. I think satanism and any kind of religion are ridiculous personally.

I dont blame you. i hate religion even though i am a christian i hate all of the ridiculous rules in certain churches like no dancing and no music in church. since you are at the ages of decision you must make the right chose so that you may obtain wisdom. My only advise to you is read Proverbs so you may obtain wisdom and knowledge help you decide. even though you dont believe in god just use the book to gain knowledge. it may be an old book but somethings never change

I honestly will check it out man, I've read plenty of many religions and I was raised as a Christian... Hasn't worked out so far, I've witnessed the hypocrisy do to a scandal with our priest when I was young. It changed my views completely, just letting everyone know that it has nothing to do with the music I listen to... It just helps open my mind.

sometimes the best thing to do is search and never give up. Metal music is all about freedom whether it may be from "Christianity"(hypocritical side) or from the world. My Church is one of the few things that keeps me believing in God. You can see and feel the love each member has for each other. no harsh judgement against each other. i am not lying to you. the goal of my church is to restore the lost truths of the church not reform the truths given from the catholics

A band called Anberlin has a song called "Fin" and it relates a lot to your situation. It talks about how the actions of those around us, even Christians, can have an affect on our lives. And how some hypocrites in the Christian faith can really play with your own. Ultimately, the message is to not let people, even Christians get in the way of your faith. Your faith and life is solely between you and God. Don't mean to preach, but I just hope I can help you understand.

Technically, the New Testament was just written in Greek, and the Old Testament was written in majority Hebrew, but also Aramaic. Just figured to correct the corrector... :)

Aramaic became the common language of the Hebrew people, Hebrew was dying out as their common language and much of the old testament was translated into Aramaic.

Different parts of the Old Testament were written in Aramaic, smaller chunks though more located in the Psalms and I believe Ecclesiastes, maybe some in Lamentations.
