@Aerokings No, that was an umbrella cockatoo. Frostie isn't trained. He just does all this!

@maddame69 I've been around parrots for quite a few years and have never been bit to draw blood because I'm very cautious. Needless to say, it took awhile for me to learn to trust Frostie because I don't like sudden, sharp pain! Lol! I'm still a little afraid of him when I put him up on the shower curtain rod and he doesn't want to get down. I just leave him up there and go out of the room until he figures out he doesn't want to be there anymore and starts complaining!

How old is Frostie? Do your other birds dance? Has Frostie always danced (since you've had him)? Does he dance to slow music? So many questions! I know nothing about domestic bird behavior, altho I love to watch the birds I feed in our backyard in Kansas--where it's very cold today, but they are still bathing in the birdbath.

Frostie is 21 years old.

Yes, Avis The Blue Crown Conure dances.

Yes, Frostie dances to slow music.

Yes, Frostie has always danced since I've known him and his former owner told the guy I bought him from that he danced. Since all cockatoos dance, he had no idea and never played music for him. It was when I started visiting and playing with Frostie that we both learned how good he danced. In fact Ted was behind camera waving a towel round and round to keep him facing forward.

@onmilo At that time, I was still sort of afraid of Frostie! Lol! All of these videos were shot down at his Birds of Paradise (his house) and I was still getting to know Frostie. Now, if I take Frostie down there, he attacks Ted! Ted can't handle him anymore and if I put him on the ground, he'll chase him and latch onto his boot hard! Lol!

The beginning of this great video reminds me of when people come into my house and Dolly flies to greet them! Oh, such an uproar from people who don't know how to relate to parrots! But I can understand being afraid of parrots - they do bite and it does hurt! Glad you and Frostie became friends and companions.

@momkat201 I took Frostie to an elderly friend's house and he told me to put him down on the floor. (He was wearing his suit because he'd just got home from church and had just taken off his shoes.) When I told him Frostie would bite his feet., he said, "I don't care!" Well, Frostie ran right over to him, latched onto his toe and had the guy hopping around on one foot grabbing his toe and hollering, "Ouch! Oh! Ouch! Oh! Wow! That really hurt!"

I know that it would be a very stressful thing for Frostie and you both to try to dress him up for real. I was just joking. Some people are very good with photo-shopping outfits, etc, on the photos of their pets, though. I have not tried it myself.

@tylirthetiger I have a GREAT respect for parrots and I've never been bit severely. It's all about reading the parrot and not assuming it's your friend.

If you were to buy a handfed baby parrot from a reputable breeder, you wouldn't have to worry. The best way to meet one is to join your local bird club where their reputation will be well known to the members.

@tylirthetiger All four of my parrots are rescues, including Frostie. His owner developed a life-threatening allergy to his dander and couldn't have him anymore. My friend, Ted Watson, babysat him for two years. I had NO IDEA the lady wanted to sell him so I bought him because I loved him. So, I did rescue him from being turned into a breeder.

@JennyNYUSA I couldn't believe it when he did that! I tried to put something on him with that in mind and he had a fit! That's something you need to do with a very young parrot so they get used to it. Frostie's 21 years old and he will not wear clothes, hats, sunglasses or a bow tie. Well, he might but it would take forever to get him to do that and I don't have the patience for it!
