Though it might not be original, its still well done. You cannot help what you feel, and you have every right to express your feelings through creation. Pay no mind to those who look down on your art, because there is no such thing as perfection in art. Yes some art could look better to others and they can kindly show their opinion, but its the creators opinion that matters in the end.

The giant man at the beginning was representing the Earth, in pain as more and more humans started to take things from the ground. Suddenly everything became industrialised and common workers were killed off. They started to push their needles deep into the ground and push forwards their houses which spread further and further. Then they made citys and the need for energy was even more and they took energy from the very core of the Earth until it finally crumbled away. :3

if you break it down. they're abstracting elements from the earth to better themselves, while the very source of their emporwerment is crumbling beneath their feet, and the sand creature/statue might represent earths struggle.
