  • amazing

    thanks for this

  • Hello;thanks a million for sharing this rare songs

  • I went to Dublin...just to see his statue on Grafton St.....:)

  • The greatest songwriter !!!

  • @LONELION17 Exactly bro, that´s it , Phil the KIng.

  • Love this song. It' s very similar to ' Hard Times '

  • too bad this never got mixed properly and recorded better, pretty cool stuff...LONG LIVE PHILO

BTW- how did 'yellow pearl' get released and this got neglected? lol

  • quite the mix, rough, but I like the song, thanks

  • It sounds like "Sometimes it gets to me"

  • I agree. Good ear. Thanks.

  • "Sometimes it's tough

______ it's sad (?)" i think here is "making me sad" ... :-?? but not shure and here: "But sometimes I don't

    Sometimes I ______ I want(?)" could be: "sometimes i get all i want" :-??

  • I think you're pretty close if not exact. The first one is spot on and I think the second one is definitely "sometimes I get what I want". Good ear.

Do you understand the part in the second verse?

  • sorry, i tried, but i don't make it out. and for the other two it was very difficult :D i had to listen to it many times. i'm quite sure i could make out almost all the lyrics but it would have taken me ages ;))

  • Thanks a lot I've been collecting Lizzy and Grand Slam shows for years and never heard of any of the songs you posted until I read Soldier of fortune....so here they are thanks again

  • anyone understands all the lyrics to this song?

  • I attempted them and posted them in the info. Still needs a little work, but at least it's a start.

  • There´s an inmense cool vibe and feeling in this song..love Phil and Blacksabfan to bring this amazing material into tube.Thxs man

  • ryan youre a hero bro, fuck those RL guys when you post stuff like this it makes me so angry to think theyre holding back so much more amazing music that i'm sure Phil would have released on the third solo record in '86. iv got the passion atm to go over to Ireland at one of the next vibes and tell Philomena about what a bunch of arseholes these people really are. Keep up the good work anyway bro, you know you got our full support!

  • Were did you get that photo of phil and mark?

  • Late one night I got bored and did a google search. I can't even remember what I typed in exactly, but I know I typed in "Phil Lynott" and possibly "Grand Slam". I looked through about 30 pages of crappy/not relevant pictures, not even expecting to find anything, and no shit...on the 29th page there was that picture. I think I clicked on the site too, but I don't honestly remember what was on it (probably had a few too many at the time). I think it was an ad for something back in 1984.

  • If anyone knows what exactly that picture is from. I'd love to know. I've searched for it a couple times since and I haven't found it again. One of those lucky things I guess. I'm just glad I was "with it" enough to save it to my computer.

  • Thank`s again Sabfan! It`s such a great joy for me and a lot of other fans every time that you put up tracks like this! Some of them really brings a tear to my eye! Please, let me know when you´re done with the compilations, ok? Congratulations on you´re 300th video! Hip, hip!!!

  • hey! You are a true you tube hero! This I never heard before!phil is one of my all time heroes! Thank you brother. peace

  • Wow mate you never fail to impress. Please dont take this down!Never even heard of this one!Very impressed sabfan!Legend!

  • What can I say?? Awesome. Thank you so much for posting yet another track that I hadn't heard before, and probably never would of if it wasn't for you.

Thank you SabFan, it really is appreciated.

  • ps...When I listened I thought that it sounded familiar....it's not a million miles from "what's the matter baby" is it ???

  • Nope, not at all. Phil was quite into dance music during the mid 80s. If you think about it, it makes sense, as a lot of those great 70's bands were either broken up, or dabbling with their sound a bit. You also had a lot of new wave, stuff with keyboards, more pop-oriented music, and I think Phil was looking to experiment and maybe get some airplay on pop radio or get his music played in the clubs. Thin Lizzy's sound changed over time, so it's not surprise Phil would change his as well.

  • Where did you get this one? :D

You never cease to make me jealous. Just as I think I've nearly completed my Lizzy/Lynott collection, you come out with a bunch of tracks I've never even heard of. Awesome stuff, thanks very much!

  • I'm putting together some compilation boots with this and some of the other rarer solo/lizzy tracks. I'll post them on various sites and then everyone can have good copies of the songs.

  • that will be great!

  • Awesome! Thanks!

  • uh I did the first view :D

  • And? lol
