thats incredible. I have always loved and admired this man. Im 32 yrs old and and I workout 4-5 days a wk and he's in way better shape than I am. Im pretty sure Sly is in better shape than most people.
If only the guy had concentrated on developing his acting skills as much as body building; he may not have been as popular in the 80s (but hey, look at him now anyway), but he might have developed a much better body of work, and avoided some of the movies (Stop or my Mom will Shoot, Rhinestone) about which he probably still has nightmares.

Just be careful. If you get too much muscle in comparison to your frame (shoulder width, height as well.) You can end up like Swarzzeneggar, or 'Hulk Hogan'. Both excellently toned, and large men in their prime, that ends up turning to wasted sag due to the damage to their joints. The more muscle you get, the harder it gets to stay in shape. The older you get the mroe that muscle is going to pound and pound away at your joints, and if it's not maintained properly, it can end badly.

I think I know what you mean. I think he has an awesome physique, but he is possibly the most vascular person I have ever seen. In that one photo in the red shorts, starting at :30 he is very unusual looking. I think it's only because his pecs are so large, and that his body fat percentage is so low you can see all of his ribs. I would love to be that size and be that ripped, but I do agree that it isn't a common look, by any means.
Looks like his biceps are a bit too small compared to the rest of his body, though seeing as he is working them out in the picture, it's not particularly unusual. I think his symmetri is very good in most of the Rocky movies though. At least his upper body.

I think I know what you mean. I think he has an awesome physique, but he is possibly the most vascular person I have ever seen. In that one photo in the red shorts, starting at :30 he is very unusual looking. I think it's only because his pecs are so large, and that his body fat percentage is so low you can see all of his ribs. I would love to be that size and be that ripped, but I do agree that it isn't a common look, by any means.

Looks like his biceps are a bit too small compared to the rest of his body, though seeing as he is working them out in the picture, it's not particularly unusual. I think his symmetri is very good in most of the Rocky movies though. At least his upper body.
Anyway, Sly IS an icon and should be treated as such!

Sylvester is a legend, roids or not. Frickin best motivational movies EVER and there will never be greater. Although, I'm becoming a huge fan of Never Back Down. The main actor is making more films like that one aswell, perhaps a new Rocky Era? I hope so, I'm tired of flicking in my dad's 80s movies to watch some legendary entertainement !

Not really. Great Body, absolutely. But Frank Zane had a much better symmetry (calves for example). To me, Zane is the best BB Pro ever. Stallone is the best non-professional BB ever. (From the really big guys, the symmetry of Mike Mentzer is unbeaten)

haha what do u mean stallone didnt take steroids?? watch the documentary "Bigger, Faster, Stronger" he admits to using them during the period of all these movies, so does arnold and multiple other body builders, professional athletes etc. He used HGH for his recent movie because its safer and a more controlled substance. HGH wasn't available when rocky and rambo came out. I will agree roids alone are not responsible for his body. a stellar diet and training regimen is still necessary
