  • Amazing ! Excelente

  • Amazing

  • epic

  • This is just wonderful.

  • what a virtuoso! I've played this Paganini Caprice on violin 100s of times, plus play the viola, cello and bass. thanks for the incredible inspiration!

  • Incredible performance! Interesting contrasts of techniques and sounds...loved how he used the harmonics 3:55 thru 4:40.

  • FANTASTICNO

  • BRAVO

  • Excellent performance, very touching. Regards from Buenos Aires, Argentina

  • all you cellist just go kill yourself, this was one of the most insane cello players i have ever seen.

  • you must be a string instrument player and not a fretted one to understand how hard it is to reach complete perfect pitch it takes years just to master first position with basic shifts. This guy is someone to learn from

  • 3:16 is inhuman.

  • I still can't believe the amazing technique of this guy, beside the neatness and good sound.

  • wow amazing

  • It is time that somebody play this piece slower and intune. I like this interpretation alot.

  • Its not slow for a cello, and he can do it a lot faster...but like this it sounds perfect. I love the other fast and kinda playful performances but really Kalman's performance its beautiful and sooo good. ^_^

  • BRAVO, Feuersenf...!

  • Beautiful. Yes at times it is slower than a standard violinist interpretation, but one must understand that slower string response times of the cello, and for that matter, viola, merit slower tempi for these caprices. To play it at a "violinistic" tempo has a tendency to sound frantic and honestly a little silly.

    Bravo Kalman

  • wow, impressive..

  • Superbe !!

    merci...

  • that's not slow for a cello at all!

  • Wow! He can really play everything he wants! Many violinists would be jelaous...well done!

  • This is great! Love it so much!!

  • Very solid technique and nice interpretation, though a bit slow for my taste.

  • this guy is a MONSTER cellist!

    BRAVO!

  • pretty darn good.

  • Wow! I'm becoming quite the fan of this guy. His cello has a really nice sound. Anyone know the maker? I couldn't find it on his website.

  • Yup, best cello interpretation I've seen yet. Kalman just raised the bar as far as I'm concerned.

  • Bravo! Bravo! Bravo!

  • this is better than Ma and is by far the best version ever played on cello.

    Bravo

  • 2nd variation wasn't clean as clean as ma's though....ma also played it up to tempo the whole time. this guy wasn't playing too slow so to speak, but he sure was taking his time. his bow pressure was off with his octaves.... and he added too many of his own innovations...and his harmonics weren't too strong either. he did nail those arpeggios though! haha

  • His arpeggios were dead on and you're right though, he did take his time. I personally liked him taking his time.... bcuz it allowed him to make it his own, which is what every violinist do when they play it.

  • hey on one's perfect!

I've never seen this guy before :T

    who is he? ^_^

  • @xLiLxHaHax He is profesor on the music academi in city of Novi Sad i Serbia

  • i love the little kindof smirk he has while playing.

    this performance is absolutely priceless

  • Ineffable! An amazing performance.Imre Kalman is a dazzling cellist, whose abilities are beyond words.
