  • nice shot i love hunting u took out the lungs and heart

  • nice buck great shot

  • Awesome shot, Awesome buck, Awesome footage. Great job!

  • dosen't matter what these fake hunters say I know 30 yr olds that can't place that good of a double lung shot snd for the guy that said that it's painful probaaly never hunted a day in his life bet that deer didnt go more than 30 yards keep up the good hunting kid

  • How far did the deer go after the shot? Great shot thought from what I saw

  • @legitlaxer40 about 50 yards down hill and was piled up under a cedar bush.

  • Poor deer :( i'm surprised an 11 yearold had the guts i wouldn't

(I'm not trying to be offensive I don't do hunting never have probably never will but I enjoy seeing the bow stuff and spear stuf it really quite intresting.

  • could you put the rest of the video up? :) great shot btw ^^

  • @ThePowerBanana45 it is on my web site under the video section

  • apparently that was a kill shot, judging by the force and velocity of the arrow being able to bring it to its feet at the force of impact, probably took awhile to bleed out , its arguable

  • @Reaper421 Yes it was a kill shot, double lungs

  • damn good shot. i wish had gotten into bow hunting at his age.

  • you can really tell how good a deers reaction time is to a arrow going off in this video ..............

  • What kind of bow is your son shooting? What poundage? Trying to get one set up for my son.

  • Hunting over bait is simply poor sportsmanship. Learn some outdoor skills.

  • @VisionCasting first off it is a legal means to hunt in Texas where the video was shot. I have killed deer by stalking them, hunting over trails, rattling them up,etc.

What is your preferred location to hunt? Is it over a winter wheat field, corn field, soybean field? The folks that say they don't hunt over bait but will sit off a crop field or even a natural food source is hunting over bait!

  • @redhill1967

Ever hear of Endorphins? Look it up.

  • simply awesome!

  • nice deer and perfect shot placement

  • awesome video! Love the slow motion!

  • nice shot nice deer

  • great shot pretty nice buck to

  • Both Lungs! Good shooting, especially for an 11 year old.

It is very admirable for you to have your son involved in archery and bowhunting.

  • Just a little high but great shot none the less for an 11 year old. Very nice deer as well!

  • wow!!

  • that was sweet

  • nice shot man :D

  • nice shot!!!!! right in the lung/heart area great dude!!!!

  • nice shot

  • dang,nice shot,your sons real good shooin

  • That buck is really wide! Do you have any idea what he scored? Nice shot, complete pass through.

  • not sure on the really wide comment but very nice deer none the less

  • I haven't put tape on him...that was my son's 2nd deer and his first deer with antlers he killed with his bow. His first was at 8 and he was 11 when he shot this one.

A trophy for a kids and I haven't thought about measuring him...I may if he asks me to.

  • lil bit high but it'll work...i try to hit them just above and left of the front leg with a bow but with a gun i just put it right behind the front leg

  • Congrats to your son on the deer.... great little clip there. Somebody is always going to bust your chops about how you do things... unfortunately. Those of us that bowhunt know it was a good shot and hell, its hard enough for a grown man to get within 18 yards of a buck so for your son to do it, bait or not is impressive and the shot was great. Way to teach the next generation the right way to do things.

  • I had a liver shot last season.. dropped him.. he never felt it...Just in front of the hind quarter behind the stomach.. He was moving so that's why liver & not heart/lung...Never hit a deer that didn't go down..

  • nice shot your sons good

  • nice hunting i hunt too its very cool but i want to learn to shoot with a bow and the deer flipped

  • thats cool sir it almost flipped i go hunting too its very fun but i shoot with rifles , and that shoot is cool the deer almost flipped

  • nice shot!

  • this is not a painful method >.> double lung shots are very effective and the animal dies seconds later..

  • Who cares if its in pain for a few seconds or minuts before death. A few minuts of pain is like one billionth of its life and im sure the rest of it was great with lots of eating yum grass and shaggin nice lookin lady-deers and fighting with other man-deers. And then it makes yummy on my plate. All that outways a few moments of pain.

  • i hunt with a bow nice shot

  • i hunt with a bow. nice shot

  • Very nice...great vid.

  • No killshot. That was a painfully dead for this deer. That is wy the video stops.

  • You said, "Wanna tell me that you score the heart? You didn´t."

I never said it was a heart shot. Don't think that an animal MUST be shot in the heart in order for it to die a quick and painless. It doesn't.

    Double lung shots very effective.

The entire video of the hunt you can see it on my web site in the video section.

I normally will not respond to comments like yours and delete them...I just want to make sure you and others know the truth about lethal shots and shot placement.

  • @RisingSunOutdoors : This wasn't even the lung it was to high and too far back. Please let your son train on something else then on a living animal.

  • @werekorden It was the lungs and both of them where hit...he trains on targets and makes kill shots on living animals :)

  • no you dumb ass it hit the deer in the lung it dyes within 2 minutes mostly less so stop acting like you know what happens. Idiot you don't know well enough about hunting to make comments like that Bow hunting there is no per say " Instant kill" It's mostly a minute or 2 This goes for everyone nice shot though 5/5

  • That was no Kill, amateur!

  • That's funny because I skinned and cleaned it...I guess I processed an imaginary deer too.

  • omg what a clean shot

  • how far away was he coz that was one hell of a good shot for an 11 yr old

  • 18 yards away...My boy is a good shot. We shoot 3-D tournaments all the time and he is effective on the range out to 30 yards.

He doesn't shoot past 20 in a hunting situation because he doesn't want or need to...

  • nice!

  • NEED HELP.. Im thinking about going hunting. This is my first time. Should I use a rifle or a shotgun or a combo? What should I look for and where should I shop? What kinda rounds should I use? What brand and model? I might wanna hunt deer and ducks. Should I use slugs or pellets?Should I use a suppressor? Where would be a good location? What else do I need to know. What kinda knives should I carry? Please andThanx.

  • nice shot little to the left practice will help but i am not sayig i could make a better shot i hunt witha 280. so i would have a hard time with a bow but great shot

  • that was the only shot he had....that was an amazing shot....for you to sit there and pick apart his shot placement would be ludacris....especially coming from a guy who doesn't bow hunt....bowhunting is 20 times harder than gun and its all about placement...you can hit the shoulder bone with a bullet...you cant with an arrow....he couldnt have made a better shot

  • It was a good shot and a clean kill shot, double lunged.

With a little practice you too can hunt with a bow.

  • Wicked good shot, real clean. I bet you folks had some good eatin eh? Don't think he'll ever go hungry if he keeps that up heh.

  • nice shooting, congrats.

  • way to go, give the kid a pat on the back for me.

  • Nice buck for an 11 year old with a bow. Great shot!

  • ithought using bait was illeagel

  • In some states it is, however in Texas it is leagal.

  • did you actually bag this deer looked like it was going to run

  • Yes, my son did...double lunged and in the freezer. Heck, I don't think there is any more of him in the freezer :)

  • SMOKE!

  • pretty cool!!!! how far did the young fellow shoot? Any more information about the shot - type of bow, draw poundage, etc?

  • His shot was 18 yards and we were in a Lucky's tent blind and he opted for a sitting shot since he has been practicing doing it.

He said he put the pin in the crease of the front leg above the "L-bow" and the buck dropped right into the arrows path.

He is using a Browning Micro Midas III, set at 42 lbs. Shooting Beman ICS Junior Hunters with a 85 gr,. Magnus Stinger broadhead, Tru-Fire release, and Copper John sight with 3 pins (15, 20 and 25 yards).

  • thats the bow i first used! good shot nice buck. Its great to have younger generation hunters keeping on tradition

  • Love it! Nice shot, great video. How do you get slo mo? From your camera or PC software?

  • I used PC software to get a slow motion clip.

  • Nice shot, Congrats on a great buck.

Just curious... Did you catch the top of the lungs? It looked like he ducked a bit after the shot (jumped the string so to speak)

Great to see young ones enjoy the outdoors.

  • Thank you! Yes it caught the top of both lungs, and he went about 75 yards, down hill, before rolling to a stop.
