Van Halen is one of the greatest in my opinion secon only to Steve Vai but only slightly, Justin King sucks because he isn't clear it just a new sound that everyone is enfatuated with, slap guitar is nothing but very crappy garbage version of flaminco, which by the way is much nicer, much cleaner, and much more reputable.

Plus my experience as a guitarist shouldn't be the only deciding factor in judging whether someone is good or not. Any musician should be able to assess how talented a musician is, listen to the changes, tempo, clarity, most importantly the feeling involved in playing the music. To be considered good a musician should portray at least some of these traits.

As a musician and a fellow guitarist of almost 11 years, his chords aren't clear and his attempts at playing slap guitar are only accepted because not many people know about slap guitar so it is new and amazing in their eyes. But in my opinion it is at best a poor wonna be substitue for Flaminco or Brazilian style playing. And yes I have been somewhat trained in both, plus I have been trained more in clasical.

Not really my cup of tea, I'm more into melody and groove than flashy technique. But he's still good at what he does and I enjoy seeing new and original approaches to playing. Keep um comin.
When you doing that Flamenko strumming where ur using all your fingers separately....it cramps your wrist pretty bad...thats why hes like grimacing I think
he's making that face because he's enjoying himself. the technique, when done correctly and after practice, doesn't cramp your wrist. you're not using all of your fingers either, just your middle and thumb

This kind of stuff makes me laugh. I think Justin King is a great musician, but this kind of "rambling" does nothing for me. I lyrics and melody. This was neither. I like this, like I like a Jimi Hendrix solo. It sounds good for a minute. Then, it gets downright obnoxious.
The slap thing sounds just like louis johnson's licks,a great bass player on the slap thing!
Honestly,i didn't like it so much,i think one thing a virtuoso on his/her instrument must possess is accuracy,otherwise,even if fully skilled and talented,makes sound his playing worst than it is.

Dang, that was wicked. Only problem i have is the variety of music styles used in a single song, diversity throughout a muscian is key, but throughout a song can send a mixed signal. Other than that, it was great.
