@blackdeath8972 I don't know about that, I mean, Hisaishi is a BRILLIANT composer, but Miyasake's films are legendary on their own. Hisaishi does add a depth of... enjoyment to the movies though.

A bit of an overstatement. Miyazaki writes, directs, and animates all of his films. Thats involvement and dedication you don't see often. Half of what makes them so great is the beautiful animation alone(a long, pain-staking process that's sadly nearly extinct due to CGI). His films are about the most imaginative that cinema has ever seen. But don't get me wrong, Hisaishi is a legendary composer. His music elevates Miyazaki's films to classic status(and can move me to tears).
