And about Mayweather...yeah, it brought in some revenue and hype, it brought in viewers. But...Big Show? Really?! It shouldn't be #1, on this list, at all. In my humblest of opinions, they should have had him "fight" someone like Mysterio. Someone HIS size and has his type of speed. Someone of his stature (both in popularity and actual size), to play more of a storyline like "Which is better? Pro Wrestling or Boxing?" and it be more of a fight, and legit, instead of using brass knuckles..
@BrottenGuy you do know if he would have punched rey in the face like he big b4 show he would knock him the hell out right? that the main reason he had to work with big show cuz every1 else would have been made to look stupid
..and then they made Tank Abbott a worthless POS and a comedy act, even though in real life he was something of a "Bad Ass." I truly hated the guy from day 1, and he eventually let his MMA career go too long, essentially becoming a "has-been" or "washed up." But, yes..it did not make sense to let him make Arquette the champ and then fire him over Tank. Stupid! Russo acts like a cocky ass, too. Well..his gig character, anyway
my favourite guest star on wrestling is pete rose because kane always pwns him and drew carey who i wished could of gotten a chokeslam from kane but he did not
OMG Floyd Mayweather should have been higher on the list. OMG if you can understand how many boxing fans wanted to watch just that one match. If you understand what that means, that means my over forthy year old dad and uncle (let me just say they hated wrestling) and they watched that crap. not a bad gimmick but as a wrestling fan i hated that they used him for something so supid that didn't make any sense to me but to possibly thousands of old timer boxing fans.
Meathead was wrong about who returned that night- Jarrett returned the Oct/November the year before, X-Pac returned the night after, and Debra DEBUTED much later that year.
I used to watch all of your videos and really love them but after a while they get boring, it's just way too random and you always take forever to get your points across. Also I'm tiding of you repetedly digging up the past with random remarks like "Do you remember in WCW when Eric Bischoff came out? Boy that was mad!"
I'm not a wrestling fan, but David Arquette rocked in "Ready to Rumble". The movie was frickin' hilarlious, even the cast: Rose McGowan, Bill Goldberg, Scott Caan, Sting. This dickhead, Dameon Nelson, isn't gonna take the honor of being the WCW World Heavyweight Champion away from David. =P
i can't believe they didn't name Cyndi Lauper, she was central to the boom for wrestling in the 80s bringing attention thru the MTV crowd at the time (when MTV meant something).
Its def Mike Tyson he fit perfectly with D-Generation X and Stone Cold Steve Austin. HBK and Austin were the main guys of attitude at the time and no one had a badder attitude then Iron Mike Tyson.

what surprises me is that WCW didn't fire Russo for making Arquette champ, they fired him when he wanted to make Tank Abbot champ.
Think about it.

No William Shatner was on Raw because it was a madison square garden i think
WrestleClicks 2 years ago
Nope. He was there to promote his short-lived sci-fi series, TekWar, which debuted after the RAW broadcast if I'm not mistaken.

Chuck Norris was a guest enforcer for the match. You thinking of Leslie Neilson and the other guy from the Naked Gun movies.

Did The Wrestler do better than these piles of crap?
EhwfCaw 2 years ago
What do you think? I feel that is a question you shouldn't have to ask.

Honestly I did not hear about The Wrestler until Jericho mentioned it and it was nominated for an award

Its just a testament as to how bad a product WCW got to be that David Arquette was the champion.
