No offense about these guys but. Even if they are a little smarter version of the zombies. They can be dumb when it comes to shooting. Even you would know to not shoot with a rocket launcher at close range.

@Master1J3 They were infected with a parasite known as "Las Plagas", which lives inside a host and controls them. The Las Plagas parasite was descovered by a cult named "The Los Illuminados" which meant 'The enlightened ones'. The cult was lead by a man named Osmund Sadler. Soon, Sadler decided to make the local villagers dig up the fossils, but the villagers ingested the spores of the Las Plagas and were took over. Sadler then injected the Plagas in egg form into the cult to recruit new members

The fact that you have to 'survive' anything, is a horror itself. That's not exactly normal everyday life.

The point of a survival horror is to be scary, but RE5 isn't scary at all. That's why I call it a survival action game.

Whether it' scary is mostly subjective. Since it's shooting and 'zombies' and freak creatures, it's more likely to me 'scary' than not. Suspenseful and creepy at the least.

I admit, RE4 does give off more of a creepy vibe. More so since you're alone.

@Toya123 I think the main reason RE4 and RE5 weren't as scary as the other games was that the atmosphere and over abundance of ammunition lessened the fear aspect. RE4 and 5 both had ammo up the wazu and the new camera allow you to see over corners and manuver your character easier. This made it so that there was no fear factor to the games anymore. In the old RE games you would hear a freaky noise and since the camera was fixed it would not allow you see over the corner thus creating tension.
