the differences like the picture of Black people in family matters versus the Hogans. obvious and logical difefrence lol. Pilots definately are episodes that try to feel the reception of the series.
Jeremy Licht does especially well in the way Mark says [ 8:13 ] "cool" and the look [ start at 8:46 ] he has in his eyes as his brother and his boy friend go off to the mall. Were Mark real, I would want to introduce him to some nice guy.
David had Rich and Burt and girl dates from episode one; Willie had Steve.
[ 7:08 through 8:50 ] The sequence tends to illustrate the pain of teen guy isolation as shown in Mark. I think dj Conner more friends than this kid.
The Hogan Family musical score in this period is especially good.
10:30 This pop culture reference is especially funny considering the involvement of Richard Correll in this series. Correll portrayed Theodore's friend Richard Rickover in the classic sitcom.
4:16 > Here is one of the few places in the series that hints that Mark might have guys outside the Hogan family, but in some way he seems more isolated than even dj Conner in Roseanne.
In short order 4:33 one of his few interactions with a girl friend. She also made that memorable appearance in that episode with the Hogan family party in which David the chaperon hovers around the gathering with a trash bag on his belt.
The Hogan Family's living room set was used for the pilot episode of Family Matters - same fireplace, staircase, everything. Then by the second episode, the FM set was completed and it looks very similar to the HF's, but with many noticeable differences.
Dizygotic twins (commonly known as fraternal twins, but also referred to as non-identical twins or biovular twins) usually occur when two fertilized eggs are implanted in the uterine wall at the same time. The two eggs form two zygotes, and these twins are therefore also known as dizygotic as well as "biovular" twins. When two eggs are independently fertilized by two different sperm cells, DZ twins result.
Mark Hogan explains it best in the first few minutes of the pilot episode.
I really feel for Mark here. I, like Michael was kinda shy, and like Mark, didn't fit in perfectly with everyone else. Mike was right, you eventually wake up and suddenly you spread your wings and you are who you are. Although, I still wear my motorcycle jacket from high school to this day!
One of the better episodes without Valerie, although I thought she'd garner a mention once Michael has his heart to heart with Mark. But one thing I dislike is the way the theme song was butchered both visually and audio-wise. 'Tis the curse of most theme songs when aired in syndication.
Its on Australia's digital 7TWO (72) very soon!

Step by Step set was very similar to THF as well.
Steve Traeger should've had his own show. Be interesting to see how a junior smooth operator worked.
