joevigg28, on the A-Rod situation. It is not a choice of resigning him. He has a option to opt out of his contract if he wants to leave the Yankees. He will most likely do this because he can get even more money than he is getting right now. He is getting about 23 million right not, and could get upwards to 30 million if he opts out. There is also question if he wants to stay with the Yankees or not.

My fav football team is the New York Giants, although I offically threw in the towel, I go to there training camp every year, but this year I will probably not attend mainly because of Jerry Reese, and the departure of many of my fav players. I lost respect for Strahan wanting more money, probably because of the divorce, although i cant blame him, it hurts me too seeing the team go down the toilet, maybe he should retire, join ESPN instead of participating in a humiliating season.

Im a true Yankee fan, I watch it every single day, if not I watch the encore, and I agree that Michael kay needs to shut his orifice and let other people do the main calls.. he has a obsession with bringing up 500 every single at bat, yesterday not seeing him in the booth put a smile on my face

Hey, it's Dave. As I mentioned in our show, have you noticed that EVERY ONE of his home run calls is the same. Some outfielder is always "Giving chase" and "Looking Up" and then he says "See Ya!" ... Change it up once in a while!

Yeah he's a horrible.. I really miss Jim Kaat, a point I wanted to get to, is how come the Yankees haven't been aggressive in the off season? Im against the Wilson, Scott trade, its a obvious sign "sorry, im going to be cheap and not resign arod" like how cashman was not present last off season.. I think its time George demotes Brian Cashman to double A trenton, give him the job duty of cleaning the jockstraps, that snake!

You know what, it's about time the Yankees slowed things down a bit. They have a few minor league pitchers that are on the cusp of being ready to pitch in the Majors. There are still issues in the bullpen, but at least the bench is stronger now. I think they will get A-Rod back for next year, it would be foolish not to re-sign him.

In a sense, I kind of agree with milescunningham, Pitching is what wins games, 3 pitching prospects could lead to atleast 1 MLB pitcher.. Look at the Yankees, Best Pitching Farm system.. Jobe Chamberlain, Ian Kennedy... Jobe throws 3 digits fast balls..

Hey man, it's Dave here. Nice to hear from a Titan fan. I have to say, Vince Young is one of the top 5 most exciting players in the NFL already. Can't wait to watch this guy play a full season. But he needs some WR help!!

The point is the Rangers got a 22-year-old switch-hitting catcher (although right now he is being used at 1st). And you can tell me his stats or whatever, the point is he has had limited action playing from the minors. The Rangers are in the right direction finally. They have faced the music and know they can't band-aid everything and expect to compete. They have to start over and build a farm system, and the young pieces are in place.

The other guy the Rangers were trying to get was Clayton Kershaw, but the Dodgers made it clear they did not want to trade him.

And you all are trying to say the Rangers should have waited until the off-season to trade Tex? They wouldn't have gotten as many good offers in the off-season, the Rangers have learned from their mistakes. (Waiting to trade Alfonso Soriano and getting Brad Wilkerson)

The point is that the Rangers could not get any pitching, and they tried. They tried to pry away young and talented Nick Adenhart for the Angles, but that was unsuccessful. They also tried to get Ervin Santana, but the Angles wouldn't budge. The only pitcher the Angels were offering was Joe Saunders, a number 4 or 5 starter at best. The Rangers have enough number 5 starters competing for the job.

And then Jon Daniels pried away another pitcher from Atlanta, previous first round pick that could become a closer some day. All of the players Jon Daniels got have very high ceilings. The rangers have more pitching talent in the minors than they do offense.

I don't even know where to begin, I really don't. Fist of all, Texas took the best possible offer on the table, which was the Braves offer that got us 3 pitching prospects. Harrison's shoulder injury was not serious; they did a MRI on it. He could be back before the season ends. In that trade, the Rangers also got Neftali Feliz who has an electric arm and the best fastball in the Braves organization. He is only 19 and it has been said he has top of the rotation ability in his future.
