Good to watch this seemingly historical shoots. Is Mr Lau around and would he demonstrate this again in modern footage? I learnt my sabre moves from a Mr Yip Wei Kay in HK back in 1973, Sifu Yip was one of Mr Cheng's follower and seeing the sabre move here just brings memories!
Good to know you are well. I spent a couple of weeks with Sifu Yip in '73 and '76. Then I lost touch as I only travelled back home in the 80s. He taught me some gigong stuff as well. It was more like yoga, I just learnt the 1st 12 moves and gave that up. Sifu Yip was a good man, we played mahjong once or twice as well.
If ever you'll update your sabre routine on YouTube, please play it slower, I shall definitely pick up from you what I have left and start doing it regularly.
My present schedule is rather tight. I won't be able to re-make the video.I'd suggest that you download the video to you PC & burn it onto a VCD. Play it slow on the DVD player.
The "qigong" you learnt is actually neigong or internal strenght exercise. It'd been a secret teaching of the tai chi school. Please don't stop practicing this valuable exercise.
Thanks for posting this George, I am learning sword and finding it pretty useful, not an easy form to learn but real good for footwork...

Thank God, I'm still here.
I knew Mr Yip but not very well. I'd heard that My Yip passed away some years ago.
