I have three sons and two daughters and I've taught them all to fight and the boys have all taken to it with a natural aggresion far eclipsing that of the girls. I have grown closer to my boys by daily wrestling matches becasue that's what they want to do more than cuddle on the sofa and watch Sesame Street. Normal little boys just don't want to be touchy feely if given the choice to do that or fight. Dr. Addis displays typical liberal wishful thinking and societal disconnect.
Also in ancient times, "violent games" were part of societies, which had much more physically life to solve. Also english, scottish and irish craftsmen, farmers, soldiers etc. who had physical hard jobs, enjoyed to play football, which was in medieval and renaissance ages m,uch more like a big brawl without rules for the leather-ball. @widugeist You´re right, but that is not really a case of left or right wing, I know enough Dog Brothers who are more "Left" in their opinion. But what you wrote is correct, the healthy natural aggression inside every human, especially men, is something which has to be bring out into the life. Combat sports and contact sports of any kind are a very good way to do that, but if there are not sporting contests, no trophys etc. it is much better. Fighting is a way of living better.
