  • He is really attractive :3

  • oh my gosh he's a stud! :D

  • I loved him in Clash of the Titans as Ixas :D

  • I love Hans Matheson he is soooooo gorgeous, I could watch him all day long.

  • That's nice to hear from a man after he's just raped you. 'You may keep the coat.' You're like, 'Oi! Thanks man! I just lost mine, actually.'

  • I personally both Eddie and Hans were brilliant

  • sabes donde puedo conseguir su pelicula de neron?

  • Hans, I adore you!!!

  • ooohh when he said 'know this one thing Tess, I will have you' that look in his eyes! One of the most memorable lines and a fantastically tragic .

  • Hans Matheson is one of the most fascinating male actors of all time

  • Does he have a Scottish accent?

  • @PinkCarnationProDux

No he haven't I believe. I'm not sure whether he could speak scottish accent because Hans was grown up in England since he was a little kid!

  • @PinkCarnationProDux - he actually HAS a scottish accent, and he speaks scottish-gaelic too. His birthplace is Stornoway and... he wears the tartan (kilt) of Clan Matheson sometimes - he is scottish.

  • @jimDraconia Where can I find an interview with him speaking in a Scottish accent?

  • @jimDraconia he doesn't have a scottish accent his mum and dad left stornaway when he was five and was brought up in kent but I bet he could switch accents pretty quickly. Didn't know he could speak Gaelic thanks for the info.

  • @lolciro yes, i know he grew up somewhere else, but his parents are scottish, aren't they? he learnt the language from his mother, did he? a five-year-old boy is old enough to keep his first experiences through a lifetime. and... he spent the summers on the Isle, with his aunties and other relatives... fishing and walking the hills and beaches, and i can imagine that his accent is the british accent itself, and the original is the scottish :D (sorry, my English is poor)

  • Hans, you are magnificent!!!

  • "you may keep the coat".

i felt so scared of him when he said this... like it wasn't a big deal that he just raped her.

but my favorite line from him?

at the end of episode 3 -- fantastic acting!

"i was on my way to salvation when i saw you! why then do you tempt me? I was as firm as a man could be when i saw those eyes! that mouth... good god, was there ever such a face? such a mouth? I cannot preach anymore! I cannot sleep! I close my eyes to pray to god and all i see is you!"

  • IS A LOVELY ACTOR... I WANNA SEE HIM IN A MOVIE WITH A PRINCIPAL ROL!!!!

  • @JKJDINME Have u seen Dr Zhivago?

  • YOU'RE SOOOOOOO BEAUTIFUL HANS!!!!!!!!!

    I LUV U <3

  • tess of the d'urbervilles is the saddest period drama i''ve watched, i can't tell you how many times i've cried throughout the whole film...and the acting blew me away...Hans is a terrrific actor

  • Mr. living sex :)

  • Excuse my bad English, otherwise.

  • Hans Matheson is a very charming man, a talented actor and also a talented musician. He ended his career? He can not see .... I hope that he will be in a new movie soon. But in the main role. He comes to me in this video very restless, nervous and uncertain. He has a beautiful voice and a cute laugh. He has an incredible sense of humor. In COTT is sexy. In SH I find him rather sad and old.

  • They are both in Clash of the Titans, but they aren't each others love interests. She is the love interest of Sam Worthington's character

  • I was in cinema because of Hans (and Gemma). It was a bit weird to saw they both playing together again... But they were fantastic! And Hans with this "costume" had looked absolutely SEXY!!!

  • @TessDurbeyfield81 i know! he totally rocked the man skirt!lol

  • he`s so damn gorgeos....I have just heard abou him....and bewitched me....he seems to be a very talented actor...apart from beautiful!

  • Hans and Gemma should costar together again - they have fabulous chemistry!

When I heard that Gemma was cast as Cathy in an upcoming film adaptation of "Wuthering Heights" I was hoping that Hans would play Heathcliff, but Ed Westwick played the role instead. Ed is good but I think Hans would make a great Heathcliff.

  • Another "Wuthering Heights" version? Hm... There was a 2009 version from the bbc with Tom Hardy which was a wonderful adaption! I think they should wait a bit for a new adapition... :-\

  • I know, I think it's too soon as well - not that anything like that ever stops them, LOL.

  • @Muirmaiden whao !! really 2010 version

    it is very quick !!

    thank you for the information

when will it be broadcat ?please

  • @Muirmaiden

They both play in "Clash of the Titans" together again!! :-) By the way a great movie...!

  • @TessDurbeyfield81

Yes and there's a moment in Clash of the Titans when he looks at her like Alec does!

  • @Muirmaiden Actually now Gemma Arterton has been replaced by Kaya Scodelario as the role of Cathy. I thought Gemma was perfect for that role too...

  • Damn, Hans made me like Alec in this version - and made me want Alec to be with Tess - Hans is that magnetic and adorable - even as a villain!

Eddie Redmayne just didn't do it for me as Angel -

Oliver Milburn's portrayal of the character is the best, as Hans' portrayal of Alec is the best.

  • Exactly what i thought as I saw this version from "Tess"! Hans' Alec was a very different. He was vicious but then at the other hand Alec felt very unloved by his mother and he only searched love... A very complex portraying!

I don't like Eddie as Angel in this version very much. Oliver Milburn was a better Angel... I 100 % agree with you in all what you've said!!

  • If I didn't know the story beforehand, I would have thought that Tess and Alec were the couple to root for in this version. Hans gave Alec some vulnerability, therefore making the character more human, despite the harshness of some his actions - this is the only film of "Tess" where I felt that Alec really did love Tess.

Hans has a great sense of humor too!

  • Agreed. In fact, up until the rape, Alec's treatment of Tess is pretty fair and she is the one being unreasonable.

  • I thought he was scottish? he sounds very english to me, none of the gerard butler going on there at all.

Did he move to england when he was a baby or something?

  • @facefavour

Yeah, he's a scottish boy born in "Stornoway"; His parents moved to england (Canterbury) when Hans was a little baby :-)

  • Why he is always a villian? He is so damn HOT! I like him more than the actor who played Angel. He has so much character and his blue eyes... Just adore Hans.

  • @Lissaveta

I agree with you... Hans is thousands of time hotter than Eddie Redmayne (Angel). And yes he plays a lot villains but not always... Just look to "Bathory", "Doctor Zhiwago" or "Canone Inverso" for example... He's a damned good actor!

  • Oh I've seen those. "Doctor Zhivago" is my favorite and I love "Bodywork". He is great in any characters. I would love to see "Comfortably numb" but can't find it.

  • thank you so much!

  • Hans Matheson es un actor tan bueno!, todos los personajes que hace son diferentes e inolvidables... ojalá que tenga muchos proyectos más!
