  • The whispery part is horrible , but the song is great!

  • THIS BALLAD is actually not that bad.........Hope Alanis releases a new CD soon........she hasn't had a new album for quite awhile now..........guess she is probably busy being a new mom............

  • Damn, I actually remember this, you know I'm a metal kinda guy but it's Alanis. She can do any kind of music she wants and still make it great. Alanis fully can transcend any genre. I am not ashamed to say I listen to this at least once every other day. She's a cool chick!

  • OMG she looks and sounds so different!

  • Alanis, you are one of the most amazing artists ever. I feel blessed having known your artistry. I hope you'll make many more beautiful songs..even in motherhood, may you continue to blossom.

  • Sandcastles in the Sand...

  • Her voice was beautiful even then

  • before she started all the irritating caterwauling

  • At 1.26 she sounds like Celine Dion O.O :)

  • lovely!

  • this was good for the time, even though her voice is really different!!!!

  • well it was 1992, i think being canadian and catching up to 80's pop ala Belinda Carlisle, Tiffany, Debbie Gibson... this would have been a smash in 1987-9

  • "Now Is the Time" is her best album. I wish she had made more albums in the same vein.

  • she won awards with this song, then she went to LA and changed her style completely

  • Better songwriter now. Better singer then.

  • I can't believe that after all these years this song still invokes strong feelings in me, more so since the loss I have gone through recently

  • Wow, never seen this one either. Its weird watching Alanis like this. I actually think this track is ok as a mainstream pop track from the early 90s, but it doesn't begin to compare to her later music which feels more real, has substance and meaning.

  • her wonderful voice still shines through but it's definitely not her...for me SFIJ defined Alanis, JLP was massive success but SFIJ is her essence, Looove her!!!

  • Wow, never heard this before. It's not too bad but I prefer the stuff from Jagged Little Pill.

  • yeah jagged little pill was her best album....its the only one i like

  • It's unfortunate she didn't include the early hits on her greatest hits :( She is loved more than ever by those teen girls who are now in their 30's.

  • Alanis hates this music

  • She should hate "Supposed Former Infactuation Junkie" instead.

That was a downright embarressment of an album.

  • whoh what the hell is this!???

I have never seen alanis soooooo..... mainstream

  • totally agree... its like i know the next chord and lyric! everything from jlp onwards was pure genius

  • so 90's

  • thats the shit she was always good 80s child her e baby shes got it thats why she is still rocken love always go girl !!!!

  • I love this song.....not so jagged either!!!

  • she was sooooo young

  • Wierd - it's almost country music - or 1970's pop. Really dull compared to her later stuff - Good for her to make such a bold transition.

  • Alanis must apologize to her fans.

  • I like the young Alanis better.

She has a far more agreeable personality.

  • this came out in 1993, sounds like late 80s music lol

  • 0:04 she looks like she's in the dentist's chair

  • my sisiter unsed to listen this album when i was 14. and 2 years after alanis was my "idol" with jagged little pill..

and then , i realized she was the same alanis!! so i took the album of my sister and i started to listen it too!! yes there is a big different style but i love her voice and personnality!!

  • Its so f*** weird. It's like Alanis had another life before JLP. the helium gets annoying a little

  • Thank you for posting this! This my favourite song from her Pre-Jagged Little Pill album

  • why all the negative comments bout her early career? her pre-jagged pill career was the best.

  • Jeeezzz, she might have turned into a Whitney Houston if she hadn´t found where she belonged. But it might have been important to go through that experience. Still, best part of her career...yeah right.

  • i find this video downright SCARY!!! O.o

  • 3 Alanis...

Before jagged litlle pill, after jagged and ''alanis flavors''..she great on 3.

    Brazil love you!

  • Wow could there have been a bigger contrast... Think she looks & sounds gr8, but prefer the originality of the now songs!!

  • thank god she left the style

  • I loved this song then and I love this song now! I have actually never seen the video before! Thanks for posting! :)

  • this is so different fromwhat she normally writes and sings! its amazing but its also so amazing too!! wow! go alanis!!!!!!!!

  • It's amazing the total transition from these earlier power heart-wrenching ballads to songs such as "I See Right Through You" and "You Oughta Know" from Jagged Little Pill. Still have to say all-time favourite album is Under Rug Swept by Alanis!

  • I thought it was a joke....

  • WTF From 2:15 to 2:40 OMG hahaha

  • I threw up a little in my mouth. It's so Celine Dion...

  • LOL... this sounds like an 80's country/christian ballad, didnt know she did this stuff and more before jagged.

  • I am in shock

  • love this song! <3

  • woooooow is this alanis??????

    Alanis Morissette??

haha great, she`s able to do this, but it`s sooooo different!

  • Alanis always had it, right from the start. A great lyric, and beautiful melody, a powerhouse vocal. Classic.

  • Mariah Carey stole her ballad career!

    This is a good song!

  • there are just little specks of her voice now when she does the powerful bit, i find it quite funny to think what she is like now to have done a load of really cheesey videos like this and 'walk away'

  • she is amazing!!!

  • my god.. what transformation must that be... from this to 'wine dine 69-me..!' and 'when you f*** her..?!' lol

  • wooow

siempre quise ver el video entero de esta cancion

    es hermosa!!

    gracias por subirlo!!!

    :D

    alanis...

    increibleee!!

la veo pronto, no lo puedo creer!

  • she is so gorgeous ajajaj i ADORE HER!

  • I like a lot of songs from her first two albums...but this is one of the few where you can really hear her vocal capabilities. But I always crack up at the point in the video where the song modulates and she's suddenly on the balcony with all of those random sheets strewn across the building ... so melodramatic!

  • OMG! I never knew she did a video for this! I love it! This is when Alanis was best. "Plastic" is still my favorite song of hers.

  • i love this song.i love the old alanis.old school is tha best :D.

  • One of her best old songs

  • I call this her Celine Dion like song...mixed with 80's teen queen Tiffany

  • I have no word in English to describe this amazing image but in Chinese--村姑

From 村姑 to rock & road style, she absolutely suffered much struggle...

  • I'm speechless! hehe

  • @saneclio Country girl? WTF?

  • This is sooo not Alanis. I like her poppy songs better from the NITT album.

  • poor girl, she looks so inhibited

  • this is one i wish she would revisit... its one of the greatest off the two pre jagged albums

  • This is not that bad. It's sort of classy. Anyway, it was enough to make me buy the cd, Now Is The Time.

  • OH-MY-GOD...ROFLMAO i never saw this one, alanis acting all emotional singing a 1992 countrysh song,LMAO thank god for JLP.

  • This is the best song from the two of those albums.

  • Wow I remember this. She looks good here. She kind of let herself go after changing music styles.

  • damn she looks sooo skinny did she ever do a video for change is never a waste of time ??/

  • yea the record company she was on had her on a diet where she was only alowed to eat carrots and bread. :( good thing she changed...

  • Ok, who is the person singing because that is so not Alanis' voice!

  • She's Alanis!

  • she's so young here :) i'm about to cry

  • That song is so beautiful!

  • this sounds almost nothing like alanis

  • she was a very popular singer in Canada yrs before "Jagged"

  • I cant' believe she did that!! orrible!!

  • i love the old school alanis

i love the new alanis too....but this song is so beautiful! :)

  • I love this song.
