Well I'm not sure about that as opinions vary. But considering that this is 80s and Go Nagai's creations were 70s, I can see the difference in the animation quality.
I still have Grendizer as my number one myself. Even though it was older it was a huge accomplishment on all levels (Story, supporting characters, Music). It was and still is hard to beat. In my comment I was only pointing out the fact that Ra3d is very classy by comparing him to another classy legend. It is not a question of good animation because animation alone doens't guarantee quality.
i want to know who its now and why this one gets ignored this one is my fovorite of the series i want it to get it on dvd boxset like headmasters and victory and masterforce
Oh my God, you still have those?? Do you know if they still sell any of those anymore? I've been looking everywhere for the 80's remake of this cartoon.
Sorry Danny, i didn't see your comment till now at 7 months later lol. But yeah I still have my old vhs of these. I got them in Korea like 13 years ago when the video rental store down the street was going out of business and decided to sell ALL their videos. I can't find any DVD release of this series either but hopefully they'll be made sooner than later. Meanwhile, I'll upload the episodes i have onto youtube very soon.
Why would it be banned? Don't know where you get your info from but you shouldn't trust everything you read online Devilbat. And btw, there weren't any korean knock off shows... all the ones you're referring to are not knockoffs but other japanese mech animes simply translated.
Doesn't really matter since you're suspended now, good riddance lol
Love the artwork ,action & the rocking 1980's music soundtack.
The Japanese really put a lot of time & appreciation into their work and knew how to make a great giant robot series such as Gigantor & the others that followed.
Anyone know if this 80's version is available on DVD? There are a few box sets for Gigantor out there but want to be sure the 80's version on on it. Thanks.
I N C R E I B L E... derrame una lágrima al ver las imágenes... ojala subieran algunos capitulos completos aunque se que es super dificil... en toda la red esto es lo mas cercano a un capitulo que he visto

Well you have a point. The quality of the animation doesn't really matter too much so as long as there's good characters and a story to engage on.

I thought these shows were banned in South Korea until 1998; hence the many Korean knock off shows
