  • I've always thought this track highlights his amazing ability to create harmonies that somehow place him above other pianists. It's almost like he's gone into a Beethoven mode with shifting tempos, and a mastery of time that's scary. Don't think we'll see his like again.any time soon.

  • @brabazon10 Your comparison with Beethoven is perfect, I've thought the same many times, that this must have been what it was like to listen to Beethoven improvise, those lucky few who got to hear this. Today, Ludwig would be posted on YouTube.
