I first heard Sunny at the PA in Houston many years ago. Sunny always the Showman and the Sunlinner Band always very tight and looking great. In those days i feel Sunny had one of the best dressed bands with a great horn section. Sunny O. and Rudy G. what a team, really were some of the best.

I saw Sunny perform for the very time in 1964 at the Exposition Hall in Corpus Christi. He was pretty hot then having performed in Las Vegas and American Bandstand. I saw him just last week at the Chicano Festival in Houston, he was just as awesome. He is truly an entertainer.
