I love Switchfoot, and this song is unbelievable. It is literally genius. I like that the Jonas Brothers know and recognize this song, but honestly, they just don't do it justice. I just think the song is so big and Jon Foreman is so ridiculously good, that covers just don't live up.

Im not a huge Jonas fan(Although they are realy good), but i think its awsum that sum1 with their influince are doing christian songs. People with their fanbase have such a big responsabillity towards their fans, cause they influince the lifes of some if these people, and so its awsum if they give Witness to Jesus through their music :)

You know I'm lovin' all the comments by switchfoot fans about the screaming girls, which by the way never stops even today at their shows, it's unfortunate but the guys seem to deal with it ok, but I'm impressed that most of the comments I've read are nice and positive and not trashing JB for doing this cover, it's just nice for a change. I think Joe sounds amazing here and think he'd do the song even better now. I'm a fan of both bands so this is an amazing video! :-)

it seems like the Jonas Brothers are trying to sound like switchfoot. you know? cuz some of the songs have VERY similar aspects too them. like awakening in the chorus where the lead singer yells "awakening" it is very similar to the jonas brother song "tonight" when joe also yells/sings "tonight"

C) Switchfoot was one of the inspirations for Kevin to teach himself guitar.

Yes, it's likely that the jb could have been this famous without switchfoot, but it's even more likely that they were greatly helped to get where they are now by Switchfoot early on.
