  • How do I solder 2 connectors from one battery?

  • @ScooterEngan1 very easy. take the same diameter / gauge wire. Say your battery wires are 14awg or 16awg, use same size wires. Cut the battery wire naked just 1mm or 2mm. Make sure to do that one by one cuz if naked red and black touched there will be a spark and they can explode the battery. solder Red to red and black to black and install any connector you like.

  • do i have to use a ground station or can i just use the goggles?

  • @mrbumblesquat goggles are best to start with

  • Note that Trappy, among others, disagrees with the advice that two batteries are better than one (or that two provide any level of redundancy). There is a heated and very interesting discussion on Rcgroups about this point and it is far from conclusive. The second battery introduces a second point of failure, among other things.

  • What is the name of your monitor with built in recording??

  • Ali

Have you tried the JXD monitor with the Nova OSD? Do you also see text being cut because it cannot re-orient the screen?

  • @pajonate yes most of the info is cut out

  • @alishanmao i like that small screen monitor. what brand name and description of that monitor?

  • Thanks Ali.

  • Hi Ali...I have purchased FPV systems from BEVRC but unfortunately I don't know to get a discount by mentioning your name as always shown on your FPV video.

  • @rcmart74 when checking out, use alishanmao

  • why do i need an osd?

  • @Ali-

Its all good. I like your videos and I like your attitude. Keep up the good work.

  • LOL Taliban rc xD

  • Lol...@9:07...

Did you say 'Taliban R/C' ??

  • @WelderCSR yes. Someone on my first video said i look like taliban now in this outfit

  • I really like and thank you for the help in understanding how it's set up however, you should show how each wire is soldered in place without tape on it or peel off tape for a better view. Especial the two wires coming from battery pack. There is a esc and a ubec and wires have to be soldered in the right order. I have a ideal but it will help if you show in a video. You have taken the guess work out of trying to figure out how FPV is set up and a lot of guys have a chip on their shoulder when

  • sei il migliore!!!

  • use heatshrink you messy messy builder. a clean wiring job reduces glitches and improves range. very important

  • @ostidetabarnak Good suggestion. this is how beginners will end up doing so I did the same. at least we all will feel better :D

  • @alishanmao typical chinees craftmanship. you should be an engineer for hobbyking

  • LOL LOL TALIBAN RC!!

  • thanks

  • lol, taliban rc

  • Thanks, I´ll try like you say. Do u know i´ts ok Tx on FPV get hot about 39°C. to 41°C?.

  • @emiliogranadoss some tx really get hot. as mentioned, more power on tx means more heat. some 1500mw can get real hot that they melt the double side tape or burn your fingers

  • yeah please post a link to lcd screen looks nice nice vid

  • @cornishairrc

go to ebay , or amazon and search for jxd990 , its pretty cheap :D , thumbs up so ppl can see

  • @n3oFire yup but it doesn't re orient the screen when OSD appears so we can not see many of OSD text. specially top bar can't be turned off and many OSD has GPS signal and heading direction on top

  • how do you power the lcd?

i know you are using a battery but how to you connect it to the lcd?

And how long does a battery last on a video reciever, lcd and you tx/camera/servoes?

Should be longer than the main power battery that goes to the motor.

  • @ScooterEngan1 LCD has its own rechargeable battery that works for 2 hours or so. rest system is powered by Lipos

  • Impressive informative video. Can you post a link to the LCD screen/recorder, Thanks

  • @BruserNZL just ebay for JXD999 or JXD MP4 player. but remember it doesn't re orient the screen so many of the OSD text will not be visible. its probably good for watching movies and or testing FPV equipment at home only

  • Alishanmao did you say taliban RC? ....lol to funny !!!

  • in my country its said that 5.8G at a maximum of 25mw . How the hell can i do fpv when i can use max 25 mw receiver or have i something misunderstood?

  • @n3oFire Check out fpvlab.com

There is a ton of good info there. Basicly your range is not only determined by transmitting power, but by your receiver antenna. Check out the site, there are several good beginner guides there...

  • @n3oFire idont think u cant what country r u from

  • @thekamalwhf

    estonia

  • @n3oFire just get a 200mw

  • @n3oFire LOL yes maybe stay under 50 meters

  • @n3oFire just do it

  • SHAVE

  • @xdd231 if he doesnt want to he doesnt have to, shut up.

  • Just be careful of one thing, if the camera or the video transmitter is 5v then this won't work. You would need voltage regulator that changes 12v to 5v.

Also remember, 3s batteries have 11.1v which works good for 12v devices. Most cameras and transmitters are 12v. Just a friendly warning :)

  • @icewolfy1 yup, its a good warning and I think I also mentioned it in video. or i need to put annotations

  • to everyone the ship used to have 5VCC is a lm7805, three pins, 2 capacitors, (also datasheet if you don't know pin assignment) and that goes up to 1.5A charge

also note you've got a lot of voltage regulators with a lot of different voltages on input and output, and some of them can be adjustables

but .....anyway, the most simple in this case is the 7805

  • funny this vid was up just when I stopped watching the last part good series btw
