  • @ToTirDeKK

XDDDDD hahahaha i loved your comment

  • @kirla90 haha glad you liked it :)

  • how does that work?

  • @somberlight When you cook the seeds, you restrict air from reaching the seeds by sealing it up in a tight container whilst cooking it, so the seeds don't pop into popcorn. Once you open the container that tightly seals the air out of the cooking process, the reaction of air and the hot seeds react so fast it makes a loud 'poof'.

  • @TheMrPtasznik Takie życie :)

  • It's a traditional korean way of making "popcorns" (rice is more often used).

Moreover the man says "Bbong-iyo! 뻥이요!". This is DEFINITELY korean.

It's a tradition to say this, since it's anticipating the bang sound aftewards.

  • To sum up all the comments.

    - It is South Korea - Soul - As far As I remember it was recorded near to Gyeongbokgung palace.

    - We are from Poland, so voice you have heard are in Polish not in Cantonese

    - People around might be Chinese

  • @kooguut To sum up your comment.

  • im chinese and ive seen this in china.Where this method of making popcorn originates i cant say, but it definitely isnt limited to korea today

  • Yea, I realized IT IS Korea after rewatching and there are presumably chinese tourists in the crowd.

  • @u8myfoood A) They're tourists.

  • Who saw Ash's hat at 1:26?

  • THAT WAS AN EXPLOSION IN MY PANTS!

  • welcome to the 20th centrury. you realize we have microwaves now lol

  • THAT WAS AN EXPLOSION OF FLAVOR!

  • How does this work? Can anyone tell me what just happened?

  • @planetrob555 Never mind. I figured it out.

  • A) This probably isn't Korea, since they are speaking Cantonese (a dialect of chinese in the backgroud)

    B) The contraption is one based on the idea of a high pressure chamber. You continuously rotate the high pressure drum, so that you do not burn the kernels of rice/corn that are always on top of a constant heat source. When you quickly release the pressure, the little pockets of moisture expand causing the kernels to burst and pop out.

  • @u8myfoood

It's Korea. The speakers are probably tourists or something. The guy operating the contraption used the Korean word for pop corn.

  • @u8myfoood

    Who cares, its cool

  • @u8myfoood naw it's korean alright. i can see korean letters if you pause the video. but to be honest it's probably north korea

  • @u8myfoood The people filming it are speaking Cantonese. If you look in the background there's Korean writing on the window that reads "밥국".

  • @u8myfoood I don't know about the language they're speaking but the writing on the windows and that fire hydrant is Korean.

The explanation method for popping the corn is cool though. =D

  • @u8myfoood you can see korean writing on the doors. korea is actually a very popular place for chinese population to go visit. so it is understandable that this is a tour group.

  • @u8myfoood Nope. It is definitively Korea. I do hear some Chinese tourists speaking nearby though.

  • SEEN EM DO THAT....CRAZYYYYYYYYYY...

  • nie no dobre:D io slychac Tomsona w tle ;)
