I love this video, as well as all your stuff, but I don't like how you seem to be using a KJV, or similar, at 2:58 & then you slow it down & say "might - be - saved" Many KJV only people EMPHASIZE that word and say, "See? God MIGHT save them, or He MIGHT NOT save them."
I know the word doesn't mean that, and its the same as saying "I opened the door for my mother so that she may enter the house." That doesn't mean that she may or may not enter the house. But many point the MIGHT word out often.
@davidbrucemusicvideo There is an article on the tentmaker ministries site that is entitled "God "might" save the world." If you google that title and tentmaker, it will probably come it and deals specifically with the word "might' as in God might save the world. It's kind of a long article but I think it handles your concern. let me know what you think.
@dwellceller We are all lost sheep. We get lied to by Satan, the father of lies. We become wise in our own eyes. We must have the eyes of a little child to see the kingdom and God's love for us. Children are more faithful than adults because they still have innocence. The evils in the world harden us to where it is hard to believe in a loving God anymore. From God's point of view, you ARE innocent, you ARE His, you ARE loved. Open your heart to His forgiveness/love. Reject the lies in yr head.
I soooooooo want to believe in universal salvation but isn't the story of the lost sheep in context about those that already are believers? and that the one who is lost is someone who has left the flock of believers?
@dwellceller The context is "little ones" who haven't really gotten "religious" or indoctrinated to be disciples or "churchians" yet. Mat 18:14 Even so it is not the will of your Father which is in heaven, that one of these little ones should perish. Unless you become as "little ones" you'll have a hard time seeing God loves you because you will trust in your own righteousness. Become as a little kid coming to a loving dad. That's hard for some of us. But there's your place to come to trust.
@dwellceller The parable is part of a trilogy of parables in Lk 15 about finding what was lost. The sermon was delivered to the "publicans and sinners"(V.1). I refer you to Isaiah 53:6 "All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned—every one—to his own way;
and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all." Jesus' constant theme was that he came to save "that" which was lost. What was lost? All mankind. He saved "that" which was lost, not "many" or "some of" which was lost. All.
@nrolett - yes, you're right....this was told before before the pharisess, so Jesus is implying that everyone was lost - and he came to save the lost...which must mean ALL!
Absolutely Wonderful!

ok,so is the 'little ones' a reference to the fact that all people are lost sheep until they are put on the Shepherd's shoulders...?

@dwellceller Does Christ need our consent to save us? If it is God's will to save all men, is God dependent on our free will to save us?
