I usually wash my brushes the same way but I used anti bacterial dish soap and olive oil to keep them conditioned. I used equal parts. Then I dry them in the sigma dry and shape brush roll... I found that my brushes were not only clean but softer after I did this.
I like using Bath & Body Works moisturizing hand wash because it kills bacteria and doesn't dry out my brushes.

U can dry ur brushes in a cup, u just want to use a brush guard or flip them upside down.

Don't dry your makeup brushes in a cup. The water from the bristles is just going to loosen the glue where the handle is.

when u record it with your iphone, you should do it horizontally instead of vertically. just a suggestion.

Don't you not want to stand them up so the water doesn't drip down into the wood/metal..?
