One of the main ideas of this show is to show people what type of artist you are by singing other people's music but putting your own spin on it. THAT is exactly what she did. The song still means the same thing regardless of how it's sung.

Really good voice....BUT.....this song is NOT to be sung like this....it's a torch song, slow, with TONS of emotion.

Wish some of these idol contestants would realize that it's substance and deep feelings, that should go into songs like this.

If I were to make a choice, I'd want the finale to be Cook vs Mercado. But no, It's a popularity contest and It's all about the "Golden Child" , Archuleta.

I don't like Cook because he does the EXACT same "original" thing every week and still gets complimented for it being "different". It was the same thing with Blake last year. I am also a vocal purist so for me, Carly and Syesha left the competition in the dust with only David A as a straggling 3rd. I was very disappointed with the season, and didn't really want either finalist to win.
