  • este tema es de los mas originales y diferentes de U2

  • The funny thing is that if Miami was released by Radiohead you'd get an army of douchbags trying to cover the song with open chords ...

  • @alliwanttosay1 Your are a genius. Miami by Radiohead.... :0 That thrilled me.

  • aye, Miami

  • U2 wrote Miami. They should be proud.

  • @metallickakarot I'm also quite sure that. :)

  • @metallickakarot Here is the one who has same thinking.

  • Their worst song EVER! On a good album too!

  • Is it me... or do they all look like Woodstock from "Peanuts"?

  • I STILL love this!

  • @robynsegg" 14 people took a wrong turn on the way to Miami...

  • @robynsegg Sorry for late reply - I just say thank you ;) There are a lot of tastes, huh? :)

  • @worrynet: Yep! LOL!

  • Trippy vacation....

  • U2 wrote Mofo.

  • @TheFly360 I tried to make Mofo video, but gave up.

  • Such a good song :)

  • Comment removed

  • great video... so simple yet so good! ;)

  • @museums9 Thanks! ;) I thought 'minimalism' when I heard this song. It's my favorite song still now.

  • OMG - LOVE this!! Especially the smoking Adam! :-)

  • @MsWAlexander1 THANKS!!!!!! Adam is a really cool guy. ;)

  • possibly the worst u2 song ever? its an abomination!

  • @Phoenix1664 There is no worst song for U2. ;)

  • i love it... great job!!! :D

  • Here comes the car chase..............

  • @bagdifo Yes, it comes... That's Miami?

  • the groove starting at 2:31 makes me feel pure coolness.

  • @YouthOobe I love this song so much - whoever says what, it is so cool for me.

  • looks like the guitar guy cartoon is greasing his monkey!!!

  • @elxtranjero Well, everybody talks about guitar playing. ... It maybe look weird.

  • lol looks like the guitar is greasing his monkey!!!

  • i love this song and album, yet it got panned, i don't think u2 have been as good since

  • @franco6able U2 always makes good songs and albums, and everybody picks up their own song among them - I think that, and trust them. I believe they are always good, just I don't know I love it so much or less. :)

  • U2 wrote Miami

  • @eLECTROLOSIS Yes, U2 wrote it!!

  • Back when U2 actually experimented - much better music came from this imho

  • @Stereotype23 Well, not every experiment is successful. But I love this song at first time. :)

  • I love the cartoon, it's so cute. I gave you a thumbs-up just for the pic alone. :)

  • @raspberrymuffin Thanks for your thumbs-up! .... uh... Just pic alone? XD

  • @worrynet

Lol no I mean the picture alone is enough to make me give you a thumbs-up, but I also did because I really like the song too. I still prefer "Staring at the Sun," but Miami has a good beat. :)

  • its almost too good

  • u2 did not write this song(maybe a small bit). Looks like Mcphisto and co. have fooled some more suckers

  • @kingkong3601 Hahahaha Mephisto! You remember Bono-Mephisto in Zootv Tour. Haha. Even Mephisto wrote this song, U2 didn't sell their souls.

  • u2's worst song

  • U2 wrote Miami XD

  • @starman15317 That's the truth. :)

  • would I be right in saying it was U2 who wrote this song?

  • @51yourtimeisup ..... It would be. :| That's why it sounds experimental, isn't it?

  • You're here because someone somewhere said "U2 wrote Miami"

Groovy, snakey, sleazy pap, pap, pap stroll through the dirty underbelly of American plastic culture (boob jobs, hawaiian shirts and sleazeballs doing homespun porno flicks on their handicams ). Glad that guy continues to publicise U2s most cheeky, most funky little number that creates yet another unique texture to a classic album called POP.

  • i think this song is great. it's weird for sure, but it works for me...and the guitar kicks ass too....

  • I like it. Especially like how Bono looks.

  • Look it, what i'm really trying to say is that...

Yes their were many great albums wrote in the early to mid 90's but, we were all to busy gettin high (YOKE'S) and dance music. and it was fucking great at the time...none of this voilence and Stabbing which seems to be the norm for young teens nowaday's...listen people i'm RAMBLING ON... here, in the through words of Led Zeppelin... its time to ramble on. Peace & Love, T yiz all!! God knows... ya need it :)))) i think i got the laughter right?.

  • And then people, including my good self...weren't doin E's as much anymore, and we started lookin for identity in a roundabout way, after Kurt dying and shit. 7 years... later i know! but, what i'm trying to say in my drunken state, at 9am in the morn. is... that we really didnt get kurt properly i dont think?? till the late 90's and, Nevermind was released again in 2001 or something??

  • It's filling in for something?? ya see in 1995 alotta people including (myself) weren't buying albums.

In Dublin anyway, we we're all listening to Dance music (when MTV was Great) let me tell ya... it was.

it was a great then...and i'm not denying the albums of the time (Oasis) included (BE HERE NOW) and (Whats the Story? Morning Glory) and (Ok Computer) and all that. its just that they didn't really hit the mark untill 2000 or there abouts??

  • I was wondering, what this guy was on about?? when he said U2 wrote (Miami)

I never heard this tune before now??

And to be honest... as an Irish man, listening now! ...i'm not a big fan of this tune at all?

I mean?? if ya wanna listen to a B-Side? check out... (Your Blue Room) it was a b-side to Staring at the Sun.

Another fuckin Classic!! Electronic or acousticly...personally i love the Electronic version. It Rocks people...and you know it!!

  • Love this song. You made a very cool clip haha :)

  • U2 escribió Miami

  • @ElGuamesIrlandes Jajajajaja! ¿Vos también viste eso? El tipo con tres palabras hizo enojar al mundo y hay foros en google para debatir qué quiso decir.

  • guys, did you hear the u2 miami - fez mix? It sounds cool

  • I must admit that it is probably the leasy favourite U2 song of mine. Funny thing is that if this kind of minimalistic physchodelic sheit was performed by Radiohead, it would go down in history I bet! BTW the Edge does look jerking off here!

  • Thats true, Radiohead kinda stole this kind music :D

  • @basisti94 ever heard of trip-hop? bands like Portishead, Massive Attack, etc?

  • To be honest, No. Maybe i should check that out

  • @alliwanttosay1 i like this song a lot actually. i think POP is a very underrated album. but to be fair Radiohead do this sort of trip-hop inspired "minimalistic physchodelic "sheit" much better, and even then they release it only as b-sides, like Talk Show Host for example. did it go down in history? i don't know, but it's a kick-ass tune.

  • plus, Talk Show Host was released a year before POP came out. but like i said, it's bands like Portishead and Massive Attack who came up with this signature sound. neither radiohead nor U2 are originators here.

  • hmm not sure about the Radiohead comment... Pop was released before Kid A and Amnesiac, so it could be that U2 actually influenced Radiohead.

  • dude, can you read? NEITHER U2 NOR Radiohead invented trip-hop. but Radiohead started implementing this sound before U2, e.g. Talk Show Host, which was released in 1996, before POP.

  • @Rrambler

    pop was released in 1996

  • @battlecrazy1.

Yes it was released in summer 1996, or for the lucky ones...late 1995 in Dublin.

Class album but, i'm not a big fan of this tune...gotta be honest!

When U2 said they never finished this album? i kinda get it now!

  • @Beatlecrazy1 POP was released in 1997

  • not sure who you are talking to, you need to be more specific and why the need to revert to insults. Who cares anyway, Radiohead were best during The Bends and OK Computer and have seriously gone downhill since then. They showed versatililty with Amnesiac and Kid A, but whether they were actually any good. well that's open to debate.. Muse are much better than them now anyway..

  • hahaha, wow. Amnesiac and Kid A are fantastic influential albums. no, Radiohead hasn't gone downhill after OK Computer, and no, it's not open to debate. but if you'd rather listen to Supermassive Black Holes, I really have nothing further to say to you. some people just have piss poor taste in music, and there's nothing that i can say to change that. good day.

  • I am quite sure that U2 were a big influence on Radioheads earlier stuff though, for example Stay (faraway, so close) and High and Dry have uncanny similarities. In fact there are alot of U2 style sounds throughout The Bends.

  • yeah and bono is trying to catch it in his mouth xD

  • U2 wrote Miami

...doesn't really work on this video I guess!

  • lol........

  • this song talks about the decadence of modern society represented by a place, miami. the music is illustrating that: it's deliberately slow, boring... the voice is intemperate... the end with a shout reveals the fill this kind of life produces. the ones who say that this song isn't good don't understand that: they're confusing the feeling it tries to communicate (fill, boredom, insipidity) with the song itself.

so... it's a fucking great song. SHUT UP.

  • Nunca lo había interpretado así. Desde ese punto, es una buena canción.

  • finally a true U2 fan...that was brilliant mate. I liked the riff but now its growing on me...Pop for sure is a fantastic album both musically and lyrically

  • The Edge is jackin off, wats up with that , who made this?

  • he's not jacking off, he's playing the guitar

  • This song is so fucked up it's good:)

ba ba ba..ba fuckin ba ba!!

    live version rocks

  • haha adam is smoking , the good old days :))

  • I just got "War" and it ranks amongst one of the greatest albums of all time/I've ever heard. The best songs off the album are in my opinion: "Sunday Bloody Sunday", "New Year's Day", "Like a Song..", "Two Hearts Beat As One" and the inevtably underrated "Drowing Man" one of the definitive songs about death.

  • Check our "Surrender" and "Seconds" too. Great stuff!

  • Dude.. Totaly right ! But make sure you get The Joshua Tree :) Even have it tattooed on my arm.

  • yes stop spamming all u2 video with this message...

  • I've heard the majority of the tracks off "Pop" with the exception of this one and "If You Wear That Velvet Dress". I'm soemwhat new to U2 and only have "Boy" and "How To Dismantle an Atomic Bomb". I love both albums. : )

  • at one time i was like you...you have alot to learn about u2 :)

  • you NEED to hear Achtung baby and The Joshua Tree their best albums.

my favorites are no line on the horizon and Zooropa.

  • Be sure to get Joshua Tree (Duh) and All That You Can't Leave Behind - both excellent. No Line On The Horizon, their newest album, is mostly so-so. Go for Pop if you're interested in the extremely experimental side of U2 - there are quite a few great numbers there.

  • you should hear every U2 album esecially Zooropa, Acthnug Baby, Unforgettable Fire, No line and All That You Cant leave Behind.

  • great song great album greatest band!!!!!

  • This is too cute! They look like little kids! =) (Well, except the one smoking... lol)

  • I like when kiddie Bono screams... LOL

  • When all that you cant leave behind came out and I heard NEW YORK I was kinda thrown off by another "PLACE" song.... I was never that into NEW YORK either but I wonder if it was just because I couldnt get over the fact of another PLACE song but honestly I still would take MIAMI over NEW YORK and I am from NY. MIIIIIIIIIIIIIIAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMMMMMII.... MY MAMMMMMMIIIIIII!

  • HAHA I just noticed that Edge looks like hes jerking off... oh man too funny

  • hahahahhahahahahahahahahaha

  • sbit man......... l wish I could have went to POPMART.... This song is amazing.. it gives you the feeling that MIAMI is a dangerous place . POP is freaking great. All of U2s albums give a message of hope and faith and love BUT..... POP was the album that gave you the feeling of hope and faith and love from a darker place!

  • people who voted and Q magazine blow.

  • I really enjoy this song!

  • just plain bad, worst song theyve ever recorded, i could do this with to tree branchs banging 2 tin cans while my friend waves a sheet in the wind for distortion

  • Yeah, I love U2, and Pop is excellent in places.......but let's be honest. This is a shocker!

  • I pretty much think this is U2's best song.

  • 1 of the worst i agree

  • AMAZINGGGG SONG ,,,,,

  • I would've loved to see the "Popmart tour".

  • No Line On The Horizon isnt a great album!!

  • No line on the horizon is a great album !!!!!

  • trust! bono talks about how it was crap album, cause the critics were bashing it and they didn't get to finish the cuts.

    i think that's bullshit

they should have kept on that tip, experimenting sounding different all the time

  • I agree... I've heard all their albums and Pop is my favorite album from them.

Fuck the critics.. they don't understand good music.. thats why we have garbage like hannah montana and soulja bitch.

  • Muy bueno.......

  • this song is like a natural acid trip. I love it. I listen to it a lot in the heat of the summer with the windows open.

  • I love Larry's drumming and and Adam's bass in this...so groovy!

  • Bono and Edge are so cute! lol

  • Cute! I loved how Bono's head gets big @ 3:57! LOL! Any1 notice that Larry Mullen Jr. looks like Woodstock?

  • HAHA! I noticed that, too... lol It's a really cute cartoon though.

  • If anyone thinks pop is a shit album, with songs like "Last night on earth", "Please" "If god will send his angels" and "Gone". They can go and fuck themselves

  • Pop was the last great album they did, and you missed If you wear that velvet dress.

  • Anything they've done post Pop has been very generic U2, and the less said about Bonos lyrics, the better.

Pop was the last time they truely experimented. Songs like Mofo, If You Wear That Velvet Dress, Miami, Last Night on Earth, Gone and Please are miles ahead of anything they have done since. Although I did like Love and Peace or Else.

I may have stretched it a bit by saying it was their 'last great album', last good album would have been more accurate, their last great album was Zooropa.

  • Pop was a really good album & also underrated. "Miami" & "Last Night On Earth" were my 2 favorites. But you know, I'm getting sick & tired of people telling each other 2 "f***" off just because they don't agree w/ your taste. Some people prefer U2 during their "angry young men" phase. Some liked them when they went electronic, & some like them when they grew up. Different strokes for different folks. I just love them, period. For me, they can do no wrong.

  • It looks like the Edge is masturbating and Bono is trying to catch it in his mouth.

U2 on cartoon is a pretty good idea though. Nice one. Pop is a great album. It might have been up there with AB and JT if it were more polished but th raw feel to it is part of its charm. There's 6 or 7 very good songs on it but this is not one of them. Still though I like it.

  • AWESOME video! shows what adam really does... not much :P

  • cool vid. best track on Pop.

  • I think Pop is an awesome album, but this is a terrible song.

  • FORTISSIMO

  • Pop was one of U2's best albums.they need to get back to the experimentation they did back back in the 90's - hopefully on their upcoming album.

  • that was a fucking powerfull song. perhaps "skye8293" and "soaringquail" were too young or not born at all when they released the album. that was a full experimental album for u2 and helped to create succesfully all next albums

  • poly kalos

  • tremendo!

  • genial.

  • at least, it let me listen to that songs that i never heard of u2.

i like the Edge's treatment in this one!

  • bien joué!!

  • buenisimo!

  • Very nice, thanks...

  • Excelente!!! =)
