Im 5'8" & i have a 7'2" when i reach up with 2 hands, which means i need about 38" to 39" to grab the rim with 2 hands.
38" giving me 4" over the rim & 39" giving me 5" over the rim, so about that. Its very simple to work out when you know what your standing reach with 1 & 2 hands is.

Na man i measured it lol i shouldnt have to get that high but u c i go up and my feet go past my waist

At 5'9 to hang on the rim you have to jump 29 inches. I measured it myself. So your leap is about 30'
