@vremetal better if you can create a totaly random charcter and use any colors, and move pattern, my ninja can olny be camo, red orange, or blue, and the movement kinda sucks espacily for a ninja, the eniroment customaztion is top notch dou.
If you like using premade stuff and have an amazing mind of making stories, it can be. Although i heard the ones for PC are better because you can make most or all of the things yourself but have to learn the scripting.
RPG maker 3 isn't a fail if you invest a little time in learning ways around the limitations ;) There's a forum called the rpg maker pavilion, and it's full of avid users of this game and a forum on how to tweak it and bend it to your will... I have made a game with over 75 hours of beautiful gameplay using this game.
It's only for the PS2, but I really don't recommend it. The limit of characters you can use sucks. There's barely any music to choose from, and creating events took me awhile to figure out; I had to go on the main forum and ask a bunch of questions on how to program it. You should consider getting RPG Maker XP rather than this.
Uh.. I did have my share of knowledge of programing. It was difficult to figure out. Especially when it's centered towards younger crowds, it's more difficult. And no.. it does not have 'loads of shit'. There's only about 12 female/male characters to choose from, which is the real downfall. Plus you cannot edit their appearance... Everything is premade. So... hopefully I made my point... >_>
calm down people i havent played the game yet but people said that it was fairly easy maybe your just used to rpg maker xp and even rpgs pointed towards younger crowds are good. look at kingdom hearts. maybe the thing aimed at this is that its in 3d and probably wat most ppl cared for
i disagree xp wasn't bad and im using VX right now and its pretty good they also still have the scripting system so you can still change up the game quite a bit
This game is pretty good, compared to number 2. The only thing I didn't like about this one was the limited character's it let you use, and that some didn't have Face match's for conversational scenes.
Where can I learn to use this? The PC ones are so much easier...

Its only for PS2 and I think its pretty good. RPG maker 2 for PS2 has a lot less limits, but its really complicated.
