There is only risk involved with breast implants if the nipple is removed to insert the implant. There are many ways to put in an implant: through the armpit, the bellybutton,... Other places in the body that involve less risk and less scaring. If the nipple is removed to insert the implant, then many of the nerves are severed and that is what would bring about a lack of sensation for the woman. This is something a woman would request with her plastic surgeon.

I really get freaked out by this stuff and these facts about advertising but...honestly, I am around that naturally skinny and tall and I exist, and I definitely don't have an eating disorder. I don't like hearing that almost everyone who looks like me is sick. I'm fine, this is just my body type, I guarantee it exists. It's just my body type. There are even girls I've encountered who have our body type and also are naturally quite busty. And that exists too! I think porn has a lot to do with encouraging that sort of image of many girls being thing and busty, as well. Not just mainstream media.

It may have been better to raise more awareness on all the minority groups that aren't treated equally; get all of those groups to join together to get a massive diverse group of people who support and encourage each other to be equal citizens in a society that isn't. Also, @embracingreality, what does divorce have to do with anything? Everyone has the right to divorce their partner if they're not happy; perhaps the statistic shows that women are less happy with their marriages than men, rather than that they're fickle. "No fault" means that nothing physical happened; but falling out of love is a very good reason to get divorced.

I think that the most important thing that children and teens, especially females, need to be taught is to be happy with themselves the way they are. The women in those ads do what they do because that is their job. They need to understand that they don't have to feel pressure from the media. After all, nobody is perfect. There is nothing wrong with trying to better yourself, whether it be physically or mentally, but someone shouldn't strive to be perfect. Its just plain unrealistic.

Also note: Women's magazines are full of skinny women. Almost all men don't like "skinny" women and certainly don't like the looks of the female models on the catwalk or anything close to that. Binge Eating Disorder has also been made an official ED, and they've shown that most sufferers of ED do not meet full diagnostic criteria for Anorexia/Bulimia despite significant body damage, thus being EDNOS.

I never said that I am blaming men. I do however, put the blame on the men who commit violence against women and the men who rape women because they deserve to be blamed. I know very well that blaming all men is not the right way to think (otherwise, i would hate men and therefore not be in a relationship with a man). You are just trying to "even out the playing field" by saying that women sometimes ask for it with the types of clothes they wear. Skimpy clothes do not equal "Please rape me."

A) NO clearly no man should ever try to rape a women because of the way they dress. Some1 kidnapped my sister and that almost happened to her. I can't stick up for any such beast. I was only equaling out the playing field in regards to the sexualized status of womens bodys . Thats it. This video above claims the over sexualized body parts of women is solely due to the media. I was simply trying to show that these assertions ALONE are lacking full analysis of very relevant factors.
