I would say the other way around, because it is JMJ who came later. His first album is Oxygene, from 1976, when TD already had fair number of published material, not to mention concerts, some of which ended up as Tangerine Tree material.
This concert has a track "Cherokee Lane" which sounds very different than that on "Encore", but it also has a track "Monolight" that sounds almost exactly as that on "Encore".
I believe it was! I wish I could be there. Alas, I couldn't.
