sweet video! reminds me a lot of a trip i took in israel, it was a military based trip, but we went offroading too! was very fun, and has convinced me to go offroading more often. we also went skydiving and got to shoot a lot of really cool guns. the company i went with has videos online if you want to check them out. they are called lionops
Isn't this the Wolf built for Sir Ranulph Fiennes? I heard It was going to be used on a trip by a young disabled girl. Is this that trip? Or am I barking up at an empty tree.
I used to sell Defenders. This 110 was the car featured in my companies logo.
nice vids man... all of them! agree with you... lockers are good for weekend stuff :),not the best when you break it though!better havin a 1wheel spinning than a broken c&pinion in the middle of some jungle! good to see someone who can actually drive properly as well instead of sitting at home mouthin off! btw youre a lucky bastard!! :)
I agree... Keep your vehicle as simple as possible. All the modern stuff is funny, but when you need a reliable vehicle not very good. I prefere the old Land Rovers, only mechanic parts, no electrics...
Never really needed one. It's just another thing to go wrong, in the middle of the jungle, on your own, on the other side of the world.
Expedition spec is all about reliability. Besides, the Wolf comes fitted with a much tougher rear diff, and I would hate to waste that bullet-proof piece of kit by replacing it.

@witdo74 - 7 were built for Sir Ranulph's cancelled 'Transglobal' expedition.
One was used by Kelly Shinn and her young daughter, on expedition Athena but the trip was stopped due to political uncertainty along the route.
This is from our expedition around the world in 2007. For further details see our website lonewolftransglobal . com

Actually those are new 'tyres' but being at the bottom of a river makes the mud a little slippy!
As you can see from the end of the video, grip is not really an option here, what you need is momentum.

I did do some driving with jeeps in Honduras a few months down the line from here.
They are surprisingly light, a real benefit when rock crawling. Easier to tow aswell, as you can see on my website. Plug plug!
