I'm a life long Alaskan and I can vouch for those of this great state when I say that Alaskans welcome devolopement and production in our state. It's good for our economy and it's good for the american economy. All those in the lower 48 should know that the greater majority of Alaskans encourage oil production and have no hesitation about tapping into ANRW for that oil.

the only thing that can replace oil for electricity is nuclear power. solar power is too expensive to mass produce, for now. but nuclear energy is the cheapest, cleanest and most efficient form of energy we have so far.

But we're talking for vehicles mainly, for which nuclear power is not the best chice. :) What we need to put more money into is the devolpment of a promising, but not yet successful, resources, such as Hydrogen Power Cells.
