What's a rainy season? lol...I've lived in a desert (and during a drought now) so long that a short 10 minute rain is a major event. Traffic stops, people stop work, shopping, whatever and rush to the windows, take pictures, make videos...
that's more rain than we've had in months. everything's dying, the grass has been dead since August, the leaves are turning brown before turning colors. :( I want that rain, JR!
yeah...it lasted 10 minutes and it was only the 6th time it had rained all year...each time lasted about that long. We usually get huge blowing dust storms that shut the city down...no rain. The entire US is in a drought but it's bad in the southwest.
It's my third floor balcony, all succulents and cacti, they require a little water every day. In a very hot desert city if you're smart you create an oasis like environment to look out on for comfort.
I have a hummingbird feeder and the hummingbirds hover close in to the sliding glass doors and cauctus wrens feed off the tall plant on the far left. I'm collecting footage of them.
I LOVE a rainy day, night whenever where ever...they are the best...
