  • yeah just another train to do my art on

  • look nothing like the newest one

  • Sydney will get this train in about 200 years time. And it will be 4 car set to begin with.

  • @mitaal380 is this train have a comapny that owns it or has the blueprints to build it? as i have a serious interest for it.

  • They kinda look like the warratahs...

  • lol @ how they show all the traffic like "take a train instead!! >.>"

  • I rekon the goverment is too broke to buy these train

  • there aint much graffity on trains where I live

  • I don't like the inside of the train :-( too much bare metal

  • Im gonna paint these so much.

  • @TheReblz you've got a pretty boring life

  • @TheReblz what benifet could u get out of putting ur "tag" on a train ..... NONE! ... get a job and a life ....

  • attention to all passengers, city rail has gone bust so your drivers must abort, good luck

  • love the traffic jam at the end. definitely sydney.

  • hahaha its not a matter of how much cameras or how much hi tech shit they put on it... they are still gunna get tagged...

  • That's actually not a matter of new or old trains.......just the dumbass rail staffs and crappy management.....

  • cityrail is just shit, .

  • These graffiti faggots will proberbly cry to their mummies, I heard that these trains will have scratch proof windows.

  • Same said when the M set were introduced. Look at them now.

  • whats the point they will just get graffitied

  • whole car on the front, hangouts out the back

  • I can't wait to tag dis shit up!

I gotta designe a new piece to put on it ay..

im guna bomb dis shit up.

  • @Scrige mate you can't even fucking tag you toy cunt. Mesk is the king cunt!

  • that train looks like the RER from paris in the future

  • They must making a lot of them because I think they're meant to be replacing the V sets as well as the L, R, and S sets

  • I know what your saying, but it's a suburban train and will never run on intercity routes( unless it told to do so ).

  • Well some T sets occasionly do Blue Mountains runs (but only as far as Springwood), but only when there is a shortage of H or G sets.

  • @clubpenguin777 Some people report K sets going to Springwood to. Or even R, S sets

  • It will be replacing the un-airconditioned L, R and S sets. 76 (I think?) 8-car sets are on order with a few spare cars for 626 cars total.

V sets aren't being replaced by this train - possibly with more OSCARs, but that's a seperate company and seperate contract.

  • As a graffiti writer i find that City Rail is making our job very tough all these cctv cameras you can still smash the toilets and drop spots on the floor and tag quickly before you get off but you cant walk through the train and completely rape it anymore

  • Good. Maybe it's a sign you should stop defacing public property then.

  • Bennidadogg, maybe you should get a what's called 'a life' and quit spending your sad, mere existence, on being a non stop drain on society.

  • Yay for the A set! Heard it's based on the Millennium instead of the Oscar and uses the M set's superior bogies, which is great news.

  • Anyone else see the hidden message at the end - CityRail trains are faster than cars, and don't get stuck in traffic jams

  • sorry

  • sorry I made a mistake english trains have more space than yours

  • @simpletimes222 Yeah, have you seen the triple deck trains in england?

  • @mubd1234. No we dont have any, thats why we need them?

  • I live in England and our trains are less space than ours, but these our nice but dont look as good as the OSCARS

  • Tell me about it! No toilet, it's a suburban train, it should though, 4 the long tips Eg. Hornsy to Penrith via Chatwood

  • Why are they showing the driver compartment at 1:38 ? do they expect the train to be hijacked?

  • because the cityrail network has 307 stations, 17 lines, with the trains running every 15 minutes on almost every line. and its a very complex system

  • exactly the same

just gonna be easier to paint

  • ahah yea thats it

  • hahaha you no it

  • Hahaha show cars in grid lock and trains freely moving that will get people to use public transport, scammers...

  • And im thinking its the fucking same...woo a different colour and a few different corners, it better have toilets.

  • Not much different to the millenium train.

  • Yeah, I was thinking.

    Bullshit its 'futuristic'

  • 2010 my bad lol

  • umm yer the EDI its coming out around 210 next year .

  • Deffinately a good model, but I'm curious,,, why are there so many carrages?

  • 2015 at least

  • hahahaha i like the end with the traffic jam so next time people should use public trains

  • omg so scared, because u totally know who i am and where i live...

  • fukyah? what is this word? i have never heard of it before. probably because ITS NOT A WORD. talk in english loser.

Just because its an easy target doesnt give you any more of a reason to ruin it.

If u dont do it, then why are u getting so defensive?

  • its so obvious from the way u type. not a problem with the west... sort of, just a problem with people graffiting on trains, why would u do such a pointless, destructing thing? you dont own the train so what gives u the right to destroy them??

  • if you dont graffiti, why would u bother at all??? why wud u know the train is packed with cameras? i bet u r from out west.

  • leave the trains alone your graffit looks like crap

  • they're just a mix between the m set & the tangara's

  • I heard they will be on the network by 2010

  • Awsome!!!

  • What was the other train in the end?

  • plus where did you get the video from?

  • are these the same as the "m" set because if not they look very much alike

  • they do look a little like the M set, but they are quite different.

  • Aww i cant do Insides nemore on these trains i like Ridgys we can Pop the Gaurdies and do Hangouts

  • All the people making comments about how moist they are at the thought of vandalising the trains when they arrive make me ashamed to live in Sydney... don't you have anything better to do, or can't you express your vast talent in more creative ways than writing your name with arrows hanging off it...

  • Wow, those are snazzy looking!

  • hahahahah sikkunt

  • you wish you fucken cunt

  • No. Just No. You're not cool.

  • @ready454 we can do it together mate. hahaha

  • Comment removed

  • All this talk of "I'm gunna get dis train bommed" or some other dyslexic drivel... really moronic. I was on a South line train the other day iand in the carriage was a gaggle of 13-15 year olds stinking of pot, spending the whole train trip talking about and gawking at the scrawlings inside the train and along the rail line. They looked underfed, high on drugs and quite scatty. They then started etching on the windows with keys and mouthing off about how good their "tags" were. REALLY clever!

  • noobs

  • why didnt u tell guard

  • Yeah really clever of them (bunch of sad cunts that have to fuck a good train up and also bring bad thoughts towards all drugs from the general public)

  • They need a good belting on the rear.

  • yeah should be a good train downer are quality but most of the shit is gettin made in some korean joint like the shells and shit and their already runnin mad late and over budget shoulda just made more oscars i reckon

  • they are making more oscars, it takes time you know.

  • can you surf on these ones??, not on top, with a suction cap on the back???

  • what lines would it be on?

  • every suburban line except carlingford

  • really? no "technical failure"?

  • its power consumption. Though they have overcome this issue

  • Have they learned the lessons of the Millennium Trains? Watch this space...

  • yes they have, which is why the Oscar fleet was late because they were been thuroly tested (soz about the typo), lets hope that these trains, which i beleive will be targeted as A sets, wont have massive faults like the Milleniums.

  • wow that looks like an awesome train but imagine what will replace the v-sets in 2021...how many modern features would it have such as maybe TVs (or even computers :-))on the backs of seats...

  • the copied perth there with the railway line in the middle of the freeway

  • One time my mates had a few drinks and they pushed me off of the station onto the railway and i nearly got killed!

  • good for you mindfuck

  • Excellent train!

  • very impressive and where did u get this information

  • I am not sure if CityRail is gonna get any better than what it is now. I've been wearing their colours nearly 10 years from my beginnings on stations to now as a train driver so watching this clip about this new train which will be built via a Public Private Partnership(PPP)scheme with Reliance Rail and Downer EDI together will be very interesting indeed. Once the stock is out there running around on the network is when I believe the fun and games will begin.

  • I dont know why I watched this, but I like how EDI portrays Sydney traffic in gridlock haha

  • what the...?

  • Cool! I cant wait to see these neew trains, they look so flashy! I wish I could see some videos 'bout the good old red rattlers and tullochs.

  • CityRail needs to focus less on buying flashier trains and building new lines, a great number of Sydney suburbs don't have good access to rail service and that needs to be adressed in the next 15-25 years.

  • I totally agree

  • Good old City Rail. The Red Rattlers were the best.

  • it will be nice to have cityrail maps on the side, next to the window for this new class of train

  • if the trains had advertising on the outside inside on the platforms and along the track no one would have to pay for public transport! also this advertising would advance the rail system making it more effient and accessible to all because the more people travelling would increase the ad space rental cost! wat u think???

  • i think its common sense kets start a movement and better this shit system eventually cutting down personal use vechiles like cars and then pushing for green energy to be used exclusivly by the trains! im fully making a video bout this, when i do we can revolt and together force change!

  • im in

  • Looks like a half G set and half OSCAR.

  • 6 wheel chair positions per carriage ?

At least the switching directions seats will be back, we all hate travelling backward.

  • That's to stop human trash putting their feet on the seats. I prefer fixed seating for that reason. Some people think the choo choo is their own mobile lounge room

  • if these trains get me to college in time i would be happy

  • You will be in the workforce by the time these choo choos hit the tracks. Cityrail is at least 10 years behind the times.

  • Another thing: What is it with all these whingers? If you think the service provision or rolling stock is inadequate for the railway in your city, then do something about it. Each and every email and letter of complaint to the transport minister in your state or territory is given a unique number and put on file and is then archived. If hundreds of people send letters, the minister is compelled to make a statement or to investigate the issue. This is the way community groups get results.

  • Or you do what Michael Costa does and just throw them in the bin!

  • lol suck crp ppl in cars above

  • Better than the current M-set trains. I wonder if the old L/S/R trains will be replaced with more modern, comfortable and air-conditioned trains....

  • Majority will start leaving the fleet by 2010 and G-Sets will be converted for suburban services to cover part of the loss

  • the trains in sydney now look like they are more crap then 3rd world country standards

  • If your talking about the L/S/R Sets then yes and not to forget the Tangara trains (T-set)

  • The L/S/R are still quite reliable. Infact more so than the C and T sets.

  • now only if they had Air Conditioning installed on them.

  • If they had air conditioning they would use more electricity and hence produce more c02. Its funny how people are so concerned about global warming but yet are not prepared to give up their air conditioning.

  • You raise a vaild point here but I guess they could maximise their use during the non-peak 9-3 where the trains are not as full

  • Before the Citydecker programme in the 1990's the original Beclawat let far more air in than the hopper style used now.

  • the C and K sets do and they look the same as the crap L R and S sets

  • Visited any third world countries lately? The trains in Sydney are better and more comfy than those in most cities in Europe and the U.S. Superficial graffiti, vandalism and other people's filth and litter doesn't make a rail vehicle of "3rd world country standards", it just reflects poorly on the living standards of passengers and CityRail's internal carriage maintenance standards...

  • I would travel in the back of a coal truck so long it was more frequent than the current lines - once every 15 minutes? Or 30 minutes? Last time I was commuting (Sydney metro), if I missed my connection I would have 30 minutes to kill on the platform and a seriously p*ssed off boss to greet me when I finally got to work. Or the innumerable times waiting on the platform for canceled trains.

That, my friend is 3rd world.

  • The previous comment was about CityRail's rolling stock being of "3rd world standard", an assessment which I refute. There's no disputing that CityRail's service provision is woeful for a city of only 5 million inhabitants. Let's hope the Rail Clearways program actually works when complete.

  • haha you obviously havent visit china, the metro trains there are so modern even equipped with computers on seats and no graffiti at all yea compared sydney trains are scrap metal.

  • China = communist nation with strict rules and laws governing the general populace, obsessed with becoming the world's biggest economy.

New South Wales = small Western democracy with finance-obsessed populace reluctant to pay more taxes for better infrastructure or to give police and courts more clout. I love Metros, but Sydney has a heavy commuter railway. Turn NSW into a police state where we all pay higher taxes and I'm sure we'll have computers in our train seats and no graffiti too. ; )

  • it'll be pretty sweet when these come into service :)

  • Nice, like the cars all stopped at the end and the trains still going, considering there always late, it's funny

  • WHOA.

    ME LIKE DAT TRAIN.

    nice simulation too.

  • looks good :)

  • Nice train... me like

  • much better than the scrap heap in Melbourne

  • What scrap heap?

  • just meant as a joke
