Great job with that setup Natedogg, that's a good looking turbine mount there. Can you feel your PMA cogging when you turn it by hand? I agree with you that WindBlue will dissapoint as I purchased one a year ago and it is very hard to get going due to cogging. Work work there, I'd like to see what you get once it's up and running!
Oh yea. Can definitly feel the cog. N40 mags. Mines always been at 20'. Way too low. Going 35-40. So can't get a real test. I'll keep ya posted. We still have snow on the ground and everything is mud underneath so no tower for now. Man, I can't wait till spring.
Should make about 1K at 35 mph. My tower is too low for now but it will be going up to 35'. Have you checked out Jeffmolly1's video's? You should if you want to see some power out of an alterrnator. Make sure you understand these are not ordinary alternators. 90 amps out of the 12 blade model. Freakin awesome. FYI Wind blue will dissapoint you.
looks good, your other vids show it making 30-50v in 30 mph wind, but do you know the current it will produce - how many watts? using a car alternator would be simpler but my research showed low power production. what has yours done?
